Something tells me the design doc for this game was written up before Boom came out, and that Sonic Boom Sonic was supposed to be in there as a third Sonic. The enerbeam is a dead giveaway. They were probably designing levels around it when Boom flopped.

It's weird and incredibly OoC even for a non-speaking hero. Isn't Sonic and Tails friendship and complicity obvious in the speechless Sonic 2? I actually don't like reading too much of Fleetway because I don't want this Sonic to make his way into my headcanon.

If you look at the Sonic Channel picture of the three Sonics I suppose Boom is around 1/2 a head taller than Modern, which isn't actually that much of a difference if you think about it.

I like the reason for the sports tape, and after seeing it so much it's just incorporated into his design now, but I get the complaints.

Actually, you know what? I bet I could re-write the plot of sonic 06 in general, I wouldn't even get paid for it. I mean they forgot timestones existed, they forgot THE RED CHAOS EMERALD EXISTED, Blaze is just there for no reason (Even though I basically established you could have perfectly justified her appearance.) there's hints of a good story in there, but they're all covered in shit... why does this bother me so much?
Like, I can get time crunch and stuff, but some of this shit was just flat out being bad at what they were paid to do.
