First

not use them

>putting revzilla on anything
Who do they think they are?

...

>tfw no yamaha tricker

I put em on my pc case

It'd be like putting a walmart sticker on your bike or a Best buy sticker

...

Cool, a 356 flat 4 in a bike.

I thought it was a tuned up GL1000 when I looked at it, didn't even read the tank until you mentioned it.

Post front tendies

...

Depends.
Ill generally put them on my bike if ive put the parts on.

what coolant do you use

water wetter.

something ive been wondering about, do you get rid of frendies by leaning harder or by steering harder/faster?

fug

Leaning, the strip is the unused part of the tire so more lean=less tendies

You get rid of frendies by being an insufferable sperg.

Last thread the only guy that replied allied dual sport a shit, so I'll ask again now that it's later.

I want something to daily that's fairly inexpensive. Instead of a shitbox car, I'm thinking about getting a dual sport bike. From what I've read the Husqvarna has good gearing for street riding, which is most of what I'd be doing. Would it make sense to get a bike? I'm in Texas so I could feasibly ride year round.

No stickers only oem.

I daily a 701 Supermoto, and have a dual sport setup for it, and I don't own a car.
A 701 is nothing even close to 'inexpensive', mine was almost $14k OTD, you can find leftover 2016 Enduro's with the last gen engine for $9k if you're really lucky.

If you want cheap get a nice DR650, or at least an older model KTM 690 Enduro (same bike as the 701 without latest revisions).

There is absolutely no reason why you can't daily a dual sport in Texas, except maybe the heat.

Didn't you say you were broke though? And huskies are austrian meme bikes that need heavier maintenance, just get a dr650 tractor bike for cheap

Wew 2 wrecks in 25 days

>make guide to adjusting valves on KTM's new LC4 head since there isn't one on the internet
>post it on
reddit
>pic related, typical r/motorcycles user
Sometimes I wonder why I bother.

I'll keep that in mind. I can afford 190-200 a month in payments, especially since I was giving a low estimate after tax and diverting cash to my savings. I was looking at the XR650L, but what I was reading said the 5 speed gearbox wasn't so good at highway speeds.

Negotiations broke down.

...

Forgot to add, I thought the Enduro was 12K and not 14? Everything I've seen has it around 10.8-12K. The KTM price range looked only consistently 1K cheaper.

>that need heavier maintenance
This meme needs to stop. This is everything I have spent on maintenance in the past 9 months.

600 miles:
>two oil filters - $15 (HiFlo brand, who make the KTM branded ones)
>4L of Bel-ray 10w50 good stuff - $60
7600 miles:
>two oil filters - $15
>4L of Bel-ray - $60 (only needed a little more but bought the jug)
>Pilot Road 4 rear tire - $200
>valve shim kit - $80 (never have to buy this again, could have spent $12 on the specific shims)

That's $430 with a whole box of shims and 3L of oil left over, I'll spend $15 more on oil filters in a few months and that will be my maintenance for the year. I doubt I'll have to adjust the valves for another 30k if the KTM forums are to be believed. It's not a race bike like the 501.

The 701 SM was $12.5 MSRP, I waited in line for 6 months to get one, so there was no negotiating, there was someone in line to take it if I tried, and paid about $1100 in dealer fees etc.

Please don't finance what appears to be your first bike, and a dual sport at that. How much time do you spend on the highway?

>implying you can handle the bike

The highway part of my drive is probably only 20 minutes each way, 40 a day.

Negotiation is off the table!

Xr650l is just fine at highway speeds, dont expect 200kmph freeway blasts but it can cruise at 115kmph just fine.

Lmao what the fuck

Hm, hose are 80mph in Texas right? Do you Texans typically speed in the left lane like in places where it's 65mph, or overtake at 90 regularly?

A DRZ400 will cruise at 70 just fine, and over take at 80, if not very fast. A WR250R will actually be better on the highway than a DRZ because of the 6 speed, and an XR650L or DR650 should be even better than the WR. If you plan on passing people at 90 all day though you definitely need to go for the 690/701, or just get a street bike. Note the 2017 701 has a different engine than the last 5 years of the 690, and the current 690, the 2016 701 has the same engine though.

In the southern USA there are plenty of 120-140km/h highways, and in the USA the typical rate of traffic is 15-25km/h over, since cops won't bother to ticket you that close to the limit.

Speed limit is 70 in these parts, most drive 75-80.

I think you'd be fine with an XR650L or DR650.
Again, please don't finance a fucking dirt bike. Pick up a DR650 for $4k that you will be able to sell for $4k a year from now after you've dropped it twice when you inevitably decide you want something else.

Do you need to be freeway capable?

>Got out on the practice range for truck driving today
>Did first pre-ride inspection
>108F outside the whole time
>Have to learn how to drive a 10-speed now
>Looking for trucking jobs
>Had to sit through an hour long PSA about how to spot human trafficking after
>Bantz with Marine classmates
>feels goodman

I mean I would prefer it, but if an XR650L makes more sense, I'd go back to considering it more strongly.

XR650L is fine
DR650 is fine
But why dual sport bikes?
CB650 or CB750 would be FAR better for commuting.

It's because I want a do-it-all bike that I can disappear into the woods/desert on for a weekend.

XR100R
Rode it too hard and wrecked a valve stem.

Literally nobody cares Conlan. Post more lewd sister

Copped this for $250 AUD, how did I do?

>modern cafe bike
Poorly

what's wrong with it?
oh boy this idiot again

Meant for>>

Post boipucci first.

what the fuck is wrong with you

Since we love cafe bikes now.

Something is wrong with the electricals, would turn on for a bit on my ride home, and the front break doesn't activate the break light.

Do you think the skid demon is afraid of sharks?

...

...

Bought my first jacket, second hand. It fits really well, so comfy.
What are some things I should know about taking care of these things?

...

...

wash it with the shattered remains of black flies and sweat like the rest of us

Which has the better fifth gear ratio?

Fffffriday Night Motherfucker
What are you drinking /dbt/?

Irish mist honey liqueur

Its Saturday afternoon fuck ya. Have most recent pic of new pipes to keep it bike related

Fucking phone posting

wtf I want a Suzuki now???

The only thing wrong with this is the tires.

And the Emgo shocks

Water, because I'm not an alcoholic or a fatass American.
Also it's 8 am.

victoria?

if so what region?

Are you a big guy?

>having a beer makes you a fat alcoholic
You're not american, but you are ignorant.

Looks like you need to go to the dentist.

That's not what I said. I implied that drinking beer makes you fat, or alcoholic. Not necessarily both.

For

It doesn't imply either. I weigh 155 lbs and I drink beer once in a while. Not alcoholic or fat

Keep telling yourself that, kiddo.
>I-I-I can stop anytime I want haha

what would be the advantage of a road rear tyre with a dirt front?

if you were racing motard style on a both on and offroad course wouldnt the front suffer too heavily on the road course?

im assuming its just an aesthetic meme cafe bike done for looks but would there actually be any real world advantage?

I drink like once a month
The only thing I'm addicted to is videogames and illegal pornography

>illegal pornography
THAT'S 20 YEARS IN THE CUBES, SCUM

Thats a dualsport front tire.
But yeah lets assume its for the memes

...

How illegal? Real Lolis are turbo shit compared to 2d.

Don't worry about it

I notice people on this corner always stick their knee way the hell out.

Even just drag it on the ground when they're not even that close. Looks pretty ridiculous.

Aftermarket handguards are all garbage, I need a pair to ride in the cold weather but they're all vented and don't offer any wind protection,
only the stocks do the job but I can't use them.

Is there a pair of handuards that doesn't suck balls?

Bark Busters are pretty good

I'm 188cm and 77kg. Borderline skeleton mode.

Wear better gloves?

What bike to get on a moderate budget (less than $8k, cheaper = better) to cross the whole planet from North to south?

Wew, lad. I'm 1.88m and 115kg.

I know KLR 650s have done it.

It's really really hard to get across the panama canal and you have to pass through the most dangerous country in the world to do it..

I posted it, my favorite shitbike.

Naw it's been done plenty of times. Also I don't care about little monkey boys, they can't get past my American Physique

>Riding a motorcycle through the entirety of South and Central America while being American
There's probably a 30-50% chance that you will be robbed, kidnapped, or killed. If you value your life, you won't do this.

If you don't value your life or are going to go anyway, DO NOT GO THROUGH EL SALVADOR. YOU WILL NOT SURVIVE
