If you spawned next to a vehicle then get away from it right away, Jason always patrols those

If Jason kills you right off the bat you were being stupid. Until he gets shift you can just outrun him.

Jason seeing sound pings outside of Sense at all times is more broken that Shift is.

I think it is fine,
though I feel as if the music and fear stuff when Jason is near you should only play when both you and him have potential line of sight of each other, for like 5 seconds after you break line of sight

It ensures you can't ever escape if Jason sees you because the only way of getting distance between you and Jason and properly hide somewhere will broadcast your exact location to him at all times. At least shift grab can be countered by pocket knives or firecrackers, but it still only delays the inevitable as long as Jason can see your noise ping at all times. The way it was in the beta was infinitely better with Jason only able to see sound pings when Sense was on.

So he should have a slightly worse version of stalk all the time? No thank you.

Yeah, the sound pings active at all times is the reason why its impossible to ever lose Jason.

Does anyone have any tips for escaping the killer once you've been unhooked?
It's so hard to not just get caught again straight after because they're already in the area, probably looking at you, you're bleeding, you're moaning, scratches if you sprint.

Use others as bait and hope the killer doesn't tunnel you.
Make sure you remember the locations of everyone from when you were hooked, also make sure to keep an idea of where the killer is (which should be something you're doing constantly anyway), slip away from the direction of killer to someone who can heal you.

Should the counselors be able to pick up rocks that they can throw in a way similar to Jason's knives? Make them fairly rare, spawning mostly at campsites, and stun Jason for 2 or 3 seconds.
