Who here /has only owned a 4 cylinder car/?

Who here /has only owned a 4 cylinder car/?

Who here has only owned a 6 Cylinder car

i guess this happens if you are just 18?

I've only owned i4 and v6 engines. I want to drive an i6.

me

Big honking V8 is on my bucket list. Probably next car.

Me

>he cant afford a shitty gm

At least it's not a v6. I4 is a respectable and legitimate engine layout.

>be me
>consider a Marauder as my first car
>consider that it's old, busted, big
mmmmm
>consider japbox
>consider that it's new, reliable, utilitarian

Maybe I should have been less conservative, but now that I'm not poor I can buy something nicer when it's V8 tiem.

Other than my short 4 months with an E46 project car I've only ever had 4 cylinders:
>'12 Focus
>'09 Fusion
>'86 AW11
>'01 Miata
>'01 Civic (current)
>'90 Miata (current)
You just gotta buy the fun ones

Only four cylinder car i ever owned was a Honda Accord.

>V6
>I4
>V8
Best out of them all was definitely the V6.

My current 4 cylinder is more powerful than both the I6 and V6 I've owned

one of my friends had a grand dam gt as his first car. It only had like 180 hp but he drove it like a complete madman.

Im buying an e46 next week, i heard repairs cost a fortune since its BMW, am I wrong? And is the car reliable?

Reporting in.

Then again, my SW20 turbo is faster than almost everything I've encountered as soon as the road bends.

Considering how I drove both my first japboxes, the first of which had less than half that much HP, it's probably for the best I didn't start by biting off more than I could chew.

Just should have traded up more quickly. I'm at 200HP now and it's "about right" but really it should be "more than I need" by this point in my life.

>backwards corolla

yep

>Who here /has only owned a 4 cylinder car/?
Feels bad man, and you know what feels worst?
Only owned 3cyl cars for like 4/5s of my entire ownership of cars.
And not the cool 3cyl ones

>2004 Sentra
>2005 saabaru

I love 4cyl

You dumb fucker, Accords never had 4 cylinder engines. I guess it's easy to lie on the internet Mr. No Car Bus Passenger

Can't bait me nerd!!

Anyone else driven a 4.9L four?

Sure, the non turbo variants are backwards Corollas, but the turbo cars are backwards Celica GT4s/All-Tracs without AWD.

And the Rev 3 GT-S had a faster 0-60 than the JZA80 Supra and NSX NA1

btfo once again

2.4l 4 cyl
2l twincharged 4cyl
What a life.

>4.7L V8 WJ Grand Cherokee
>5.2L V8 ZJ Grand Cherokee
>4.0L I6 XJ Cherokee
>4.7L V8 4Runner
Naw.

>1997 rav4
>1997 maxima

and a 1uz soarer.
want a Subaru 360, audi and a toyota century so I can cross off 2, 10 and 12 as well.

>>>> Europe general

V6 Sonata and V6 RAV4 here

Had a v6 capri once

>crawling
>in
>my
>skin

My car before this was my parents 03 golf tdi

Owned 2 3 cil cars so far. Even my bike has a v4. Feels bad man but I'm not financing the dutch gubment jew

I've only ever owned V8 cars

Anything less would be cucking myself

>tfw first vehicle had a 5.7 V8
>that made like 180 hp

It was pretty fun wasting massive amounts of gas to go places slowly.

25 and on my second car I got yesterday, feels shitty having waited so long.
But new car that isnt a piece of shit is good

And yet it's only worth 50 bucks.

but good luck finding an na 4 cylinder with the same power, torque, power curve and smoothness.

I never owned anything with a even number of cylinders...

>tfw going to turn 24 next month
>All I ever drove was a 4 cylinder cars
>tfw when I start my career I'll probably have to buy another 4 cylinder.

>tfw 5cyl

Only one, and worst decision of my life.

I've only owned 3 cyclinder cars, maxing out at like 70 hp.

every cylinder needs a friend :(

>V6 explorer
>2 bmw's
Yep checks out

v8's are nice, but they come with a big price tag, I'll probably go to a 4cyl w/ a turbo next.

ive had 3 4 cylinder cars so technically ive owned a v12

>only ever owned a three cylinder

Thank you, UK insurance.

Its why i went for a vw fox 1.4l
I4 and most bhp for insurance group 3

Only v6's and v8's except for one accord with k24

VW Up, insurance group 1. My legs are too long to drive anything else that I've tried that counts as a "small car".

59hp, but it'll still go if you rev it past 5K

Eurofag here, only ever drove 4cyl
>look to buy new car
>econoboxes now have THREE cylinders making them effectively glorified scooters
>keep driving my shitbox while saving for a more expensive car

Do I count if I also had 3 cyl?

Yea they're surprisingly spacious and comfy for 'small cars'
At least with an Up it will probably have good resale value when you have enough no claims bonus to upgrade

>tfw owned an i4, i6 and a V8 at the same time

>only owned a 5cyl
fucking volvo man

fuck I had a mazda 4cyl

other than that 2 v6s, currently i6

Yeah, they're nice cars. My only complaints are shit trim and shit power, and there's nicer trims with more power. I think I'll probably drive this for a good few years and then get something practical like a hot hatch.

Get on my level, the only car I've personally owned is a 3cyl

First car has a nippy 16v i4, gonna buy a boxer 4 in a few weeks, my late Passat V6 is the odd one here.

>tfw my dream car only has 2 cylinders

Only ever owned a 4 banger and driven 4's or turboed 3's. Owning anything upwards of 2L 4 cyl is just putting your wallet on fire over here. That teeny tiny mx-3 v6 and 2.0 bmw v6's being the exception. But it's not like those are fast anyways.

>tfw my dream car only has 2 cylinders
Is it a Torabanto by any chance, senpai?

Nope

Come too think of it my favourite version is the 4x4 version which actually has 4 cylinders.

Oldsmobile intrigue
Is300

>mfw when 23 and have owned 4cyl, 5cyl, V6, I6, V8 and V10 vehicles

Yea. VWs always rub it in your face that you have a lower tier trim. Blank buttons everywhere

I went V8 Grand Cherokee to a H4 Outback and wanted to puke from the CVT. Still haven't driven a car with faster throttle response with little movement.

Now I got a 16 Expedition with the EcoBoosts my dudes. I do NOT miss the 4 banger life.

learned to drive fiat 500 turbo and first car was a 944 that i still daily. so i've never driven a >200hp car.

I, hopefully will one day go piston-less :^)

my first car was an 2jz and I downgraded a month after to an ej25 :(

I've driven almost every engine layout and can say that v10 is the best sounding/feeling overall. Especially the 1st gen Gallardo with a 6 speed.

sleep tight brapper

Amateurs.

I also owned a 3 cylinder car.

Sleep tight brapper

I've owned a 1.8l straight 4 and now a 2.5l boxer.

Just guy an old cop car, p sure the old Chargers should be coming up for sale sometime soon with the miles on them.
