this happens every time and it's so fucking funny

They always do this, Blizzard never makes mistakes and they will make sure you play their shitty maps. Just like in WoW they introduced RBGs, but no one liked them so they didn't play them since a lot of the time it was just healing tanks. So what did they do? they cut the amount of points you got from arena in half, but that wasn't enough so later they decided to make you only able to cap out your points with at least one RBG per week, a lot of people still just didn't bother.

It's just the blizzard way.

if you don't suck at positioning it's really easy
