well, you seem to be missing some upgrade files.

i have an old copy of sctop for misery
and that upgrade does exist.

go to gamedata\configs\weapons\upgrades\
make sure you have
w_fnp45_up.ltx & w_fnp45_worn_up.ltx

if you don't then you screwed your install somehow.
try copying them over from your STCOP archive you installed from originally.

No, you can be friends with both of them. They sometimes offer missions to kill a stalker in the opposing faction, but you can just ignore those ones.

The main SoC devs left the studio before the game was even released.

to kill neutral stalkers without having their friends get mad just use the mines, if the victim doesnt see you placing it then it doesn't register the explosion coming from the player

it doesn't matter if everyone else is seeing you, to do a mine stealth kill you just need the victim to not see you when you place it and during the countdown

in call of memery you might also want to add an IED or rpg rocket with the mine as the blast sometimes isn't strong enough

Iirc, slugs have energy of 4.2kJ. While it won't penetrate military grade armour, it will sure as hell leave a nasty haematoma or cause your ribs to crack.
