The only purpose in streaming practice + music is to share your musical preferences with viewers. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, but when 99% of speedrunners listen to nothing but normalfaggot-approved trash, it's bound to rub some people the wrong way.

I just saw a streamer laugh at a viewer for asking him if he was listening to music while he practiced, and I was curious if there's some sort of stigma surrounding it.

Some communities took a really long time to migrate. Mario had their own site for a while, but I see that marioruns.com doesn't exist anymore. Goldeneye and Zelda have leaderboards on both sites, but their original sites are really good. The-Elite will always have their own site, but I see Zelda migrating fully. There is a guides section on speedrun.com, and the old forums can be archived.
