It took me a while to get past the blue ranks as a fighting game veteran. I feel like fighting game experience hurts you a little on the lowest level because you are actively trying to learn the game while complete beginners are giving zero respect and just pressing buttons they find good.
Don't worry about it, they will plateau at greens while you spend the low ranks learning to deal with their bullshit properly.
