Anyone here goldfarm in online games? If I wanted to do it for fun and to maybe make a few bucks where should I start? Going to try free methods first just to see if it fits into my schedule well. If it does I'll look into paid bots.

Start with an excel spreadsheet. First thing to calculate - how much time you need to put on it/ electricity to run your comp + bots to get $100 out of it at the current price of gold. Go from there

bump for interest

College campus so electricity is free, I'll do that

Learn the stem meme degree and write bots you stupid shit

Is there a good list of games that encourage real world economies like Eve or Second Life and do any games use bitcoin?

bump, electricity is free for me too

bumping for general interest, I didn't even think gold farming in MMOs was still a thing

Runescape still has a very large economy for gold selling.

Yes I do. I made my own bot. Hosting is $0.007/hr per bot. I wrote a script that creates/deletes servers so they only run when I want my bots to run.

Main botting techniques:
>Suicide f2p with automatically creating and replacing banned accounts
>24/7 on the weekends when the people who ban bots don't work
>Playing a few hours a day to stay under the radar

I was running 80 accounts for 7-9 hours a day for a couple months before any of them got banned. I've been trying to find a new technique but my accounts keep getting banned. Their current bot detection works well.

How I think their current bot detection works
>Manually check botting spots and reports
>Use manual bans to train automated detection
>Automated detection successfully detects bots using the same script

I've been doing research on bot detection. There are a lot of good papers to read but I barely have any free time and I'd rather spend it on other projects.

Feel free to ask me any questions.

when you say hosting is $0.007/hr per bot, what do you mean by hosting?

Do you think paying for mirroring is worth it?

What tasks in f2p rs were you suiciding that were even worth it?

How much were you making per day, and per week?

if i wanted to make money from runescape3/osrs
i would put all my effort behind scamming.

i am 100% serious.

since duping doesn't exist anymore (i think) and gaming the grand exchange,
there are only 3 ways to get rich

get lucky at the duel arena
kill bosses for drops
scamming high value loot using stuff like clan wars red portal
or even dumb things like doubling money

>when you say hosting is $0.007/hr per bot, what do you mean by hosting?
Paying for servers to run the bots on.

>Do you think paying for mirroring is worth it?
Idk what mirroring is.

>What tasks in f2p rs were you suiciding that were even worth it?
I haven't suicided f2p. I've only ever bottled p2p

>How much were you making per day, and per week?
I was making like 1k every 2 weeks.

Scamming isn't good money. There are a limited number of people you can scam. It doesn't scale. You can't have 10 bots scamming per world.

what service did you two use for your hosting? like where did you go that had reliable hosting?

Why java?
Using java.awt.Robot?

have you ever tried botting zulrah? i have an old osrs account that could get the required stats in a few weeks. is it suicide for a $200+ account or could i make that much back by running it sparingly?

Fuck off stop ruining games

where my RiD niggers at?

it's hardly worth anymore these days, I used to do it many many years ago and just ran the numbers again recently and depending on your methods you're putting in a lot of work for some pocket change after deducting all costs.

All the cloud hosting providers are fine.

The game is written in Java. I interact with the game by creating mouse events and sending them to the client.

Zulrah has too high requirements for my taste. I wouldn't bot using any of the public bots on any accounts I care about.

Fuck off tranny

I used to scam millions of Gil on FFXI. Trade window robbing casinos was the best.

Who the fuck even really plays these dumb games? Are you underaged?

i thought the time people play browser games was over. i've become old.

and how do you trade game currencies and resources for hard dollahs? do you sell the whole account or what?

example?

You had to use a debit card which you'd have to eventually delete.
Dumb kids used the main credit cards of their parents and eventually the chinese would hack into the bank accounts. Of course the little twerps didn't know jackshit about privacy. There was also this dumb method where the gold farmer would ask for your password for whatever reason to make the trade himself with his bot, of course he'd just steal the account.

The pvp, drop trade and free trade removal fiasco could have all been avoided if those degenerates at Jagex, those stuck up retard british geeks with a pole up their ass had simply sold GP themselves securely to players thus killing off a big majority of the profits from botters.

Puzzle Pirates did it, but Runescape's devs felt too holier than thou and communistic to ever drop the hypocrism and accept to sell to players hard GP for USD. Not like they weren't already selling GP indirectly via membership and leaving the F2P to rot.

runescape is no longer a browser game

I don't know any online games. But there is www.protypers.com where you can type captchas for money and it's actually legit, but your hourly is like 1$ per hour.

????
botting captchas? m8 ?

you do know there is oldschool runescape and its live and I'm playing it AT THIS VERY MOMENT

Post your EHP

No point in any of this because more games are starting to do their own service for selling gold.

Look at WoW. Back in the day Shit load of Chinese gold farmers will sell gold, run bots, install keyloggers on your computer, and such. Till Blizzard started to sell in game time tokens that you can sell for gold.

not him, and I have at least that much playtime again across my alts

You go on a website such as sythe / playerauctions, and sell your gold to a middleman who will then sell your gold to consumers. You can also sell directly for better prices but you'll need to wait, and it will be difficult if you aren't trusted. Pick related but pretty old
