How would one download a version of Terraria on the PC without steam integration? I hate forced updates, and I have a setup right now that lets me play the game with all the mods, but ONE update can kill everything.

Saved, used a hallow one and died so I quit without saving but when I loaded it back up the key wasn't there. The chest was though.

Your character saves separately from the world. It saved you without the key. Savescum correctly next time by putting the keys in a chest (with other stuff, obviously), and just copy the world over and over for more keys.

Anything but pure healer probably isn't very good since radiant armor makes you do less damage with non radiant weapons.

What if, instead, it did the Brain of Cthulhu thing physically?
That it has a set chance to make a mirror image of your character that uses the same item in the same direction and does the same damage as you. But it can also be damaged (but probably doesn't get knockback because that would be awful).

Guys what would be an aesthetically pleasing but good defensive setup for a house?

Actuated wooden bridges, one raised and one lowered. Activating the actuators flips the lowered one off and the raised one on, and vice versa. Build one of them, actuate it, and activate the actuators, then build and actuate the second bridge, then activate the actuators again so that your lowered bridge is good.

Make a moat with water and fill it with spikes. Spikes don't hurt enemies, but it looks good.

Give it some kind of effect for when the weapons appear. Personally, I'd prefer if the weapons were all just uniform light swords or something but that's just me.

I used the in game melee weapons because I can't make sprites.
I'll try to add in the gates.

There are plenty of melee weapon projectiles that would serve as light swords if you actually want to. On that note though, are you using the sprites for the items or their projectile sprites? The projectile ones generally look a little better, especially for spears.

Here's a lazy way to do sprites, especially for glowing items;

>Find a projectile that glows, like that from the Terra Blade
>Trace any sword's outline with the darkest color
>Trace inside with the next color, and repeat for each lighter color
>Do this for all other weapons

I'm using item sprites. I don't think that there are projectile sprites for swords. I could try making a special case for spears.
