I just finished playing through the prologue for FE12, and honestly? If that was it's own self-contained story, and if the rest of the plot was the exploits of the 7th Platoon instead of what I assume is going to be the Avatar character outshining Marth, I think it'd be an all around decent addition to Altean lore.

Defense Terrain makes this ezpz. Fortified and Honed TA Cecilia into top right fort and Camus/Rein into bottom left.

Also, their weapons should be switched, considering Haar's spd and how he starts with a Brave Axe. And Jill would probably have less def and more res, considering her good res growth in both PoR and RD.

For the most part Archanea characters are lumped in with FE3, with one of the exceptions being Wrys as he didn't appear in FE3 Book 1 or 2. Kind of weird since they're also changing characters like Luke/Rody to say "New Mystery of the Emblem," despite being in the the original game

Yeah. It might be challenging on higher difficulties, but that's basically it. Musou games are about the power fantasy, seeing characters mow down people with a variety of movesets.

There might be a game mode that has more strategic aspects, since its Fire Emblem, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

Not really, you can generally cheese the AI or deal with AI that has super armor and inflated stats. AI used to get better at higher difficulties, but all the latest Musous have only gotten worse in this department and it's simply a mindless numbers game.
