only applicable to mini-vans or pre 1990 models.

>tfw aint touching that fucking fluid change or clutch bleed ever
this list is shit.

I should add, all of which will require the appropriate tools, and there's no point in you trying to do these jobs unless you planned to get the tools you need to complete them as you found out what you needed.

No tool box will ever be complete if you're a DIY, and work on multiple vehicles.

I don't think suspension components should be in the same tier as timing belts. If anything a tier below it. Ball joints and axles and shit are not hard, just time consuming without proper tools

>new suspension
>hope you have all day or a good buddy

Holy fuck I can relate

desu if you're prepared with all necessary tools and preventative measures taken, the difficulty of spring/strut replacement really depends on the vehicle, and if a dummy like myself can do it, it can't be that hard.

They can't be that hard, can they?

intake and exhaust manifold cleaning are easy

>the lower CoG is a benefit!

I'm pretty paranoid about using jacks. What do I get and how do I make sure I don't kill myself?
And as someone who's so far only figured out how to change headlights, is trying to change breaks myself a bad idea?

no man, breaks are so easy to do, there's no way you can mess it up. just make sure you have jack stands rated greater than your vehicle's front/rear GVW. You can find those numbers in your owners manual, or in the door jamb sticker. generally 2 ton should be ok. If youve got a big truck or suv you may need 3 ton. some tips
>make sure the jacks are on a steel piece of the frame, and not something like the oil pan
>make sure that you chock the wheels that aren't being lifted
>make sure that you have the jacks on plywood (so the pressure isn't forced to a point onto your concrete or sink into dirt/gravel)

MAP torch, PB Blaster, bolt extractors, impact tools

This shit isn't even all that expensive

"technician tier" is pretty weak, lots of random hobbyists do that all the time. Things that only good techs can do-

Intermittent CAN bus diagnosis
Driveability issues
Driver assist/traffic aware cruise control diagnostics
Structural damage analysis and repair
Glazing (not actually hard but few hobbyists mess around with it on modern cars)

Not sure how rare this is, because it's my first car with them, but the front DRLs on mine take about thirty seconds to swap. Hood up, twist out, replace, twist in, hood down.

This is great, because one blew about a hundred miles after I got the car.
