Snakewater ties with Gullywash for favorite. Viaduct with snipers might be least favorite. Without snipers, Viaduct is actual favorite and Badlands is least favorite.

I played Reckoner for the first time in an NA lobby yesterday, and it was just this 15-minute long delirious dream. We only rolled because DM, but nobody knew what the fuck was going on. I think it'd be an alright map if we were more familiar with it. I know that it gets a lot of flak, though. I personally think it's strength is in the size of everything. It's pretty open but still holds things in check with hallways, lobbies and obstacles--kind of like a more controlled Sunshine. Serious 7.5/10 map, honestly.

Overwatch is a shit ass game because it doesn't heed any of the good ideas, accidents and beneficially conscious design decisions begotten from decades of work and play within the developmental lines of DOOM, Quake, UT and any realistic sim FPS. It's not a matter of comparing it to TF2 or anything else, it's a matter of how Blizzard made a shitty game that ended up being an FPS despite not being a game worth marketing to FPS players because of how it really has nothing to do with how a good FPS has played within the continuity of nearly 30 fucking years of FPS development. They're just riding off of their brand name like usual.

Overwatchers are probably more into "serious" gameplay than TF2.

Sweet sweet television ratings. TBS airs CSGO matches, so why shouldn't they air Overwatch ones? They're probably working out a deal as we speak.

Also, unlike TF2, CSGO is a very simple game. It's easy to get into and understand what's going on. The ease of gameplay also makes competitive much more accessible to the common dudebro and 12 year olds. This is also the appeal behind Overwatch. Of course people who have played more complex games(Quake, TF2, etc.) will see right through the shallow gameplay, but let's face it, most people into esports now were just barely starting kindergarten when TF2 came out and have no interest in it.

Generalists have one thing over specialists: speed. The problem with making specialists into generalists at this stage is that most of the specialists would become outright overpowered if they were able to keep up with generalists. Pyro is really the only valid one that could be transformed into a generalist, and the way to do that responsibly would be to give him a rocket jump sort of mechanic while also nerfing base airblast cost to something like 30 per use.
