I'm considering to buy a Seat Toledo 1.6V (2006) for daily commuting

I don't know anything about Seat or their models.

Should I know anything before copping this?

Never trust the jews!

Specifically about the car I mean

It's a passat with a body kit

Jetta/Bora with a bodykit*

Indeed it is, my mistake

So... it's a short passat with a body kit

So a fine shitbox then?

Yeah, if the previous owners kept up with maintenance you should be alright.

Yes, should be an ok car as far as 2006 VAG goes, i'm more fond of their older or newer models, the mid 2000s were their bad years in my experience

hhnnnnnngggg

Try and find a VR5

...2006.

...commuting.

1.6..

What sort of plan is this?!!

..Go buy a same year cupra r!

No im kidding.

You need a small engine diesel for those commuting mpg's.

Ok sweet finally getting on the road again

It has 70k km and 6mo garage warranty so i should be fine, checking it out tomorrow

That engine is archaic - in a good way. Not much that can go wrong with it although get ready to be overtaken by every liter-3cylinder boosted shitbox.

Also, Seat is not very well known for their rust protection. If anything electrical does not work, then stay away from it - some years had notorious electical issues. Other than that it is a good daily.

VR5s sound nice, but they're thirsty and not the most reliable engine option. For commuting (OP's intended purpose) I'd try to find a 1.8 (non-turbo) or 1.9 TDI, depending on the amount I'd be traveling.

Only small distance

Diesel is taxed heavily here, no fun allowed

really reaaaallly slow, but pretty bulletproof

get it so I wont be the only SEAT owner here

>70k km
that's alright, but it may have some neglected maintenance, i find that normies tend to sell their cars between 50-70k km and then again at around 100k km to avoid big repair bills such as belts

Nice Polo

Get a 1.9 TDI. The small petrol engines from that time are shit.

You are not alone, VAGfriend

I owned a Leon and the only major issue was when it rained it used to leak water from the front doors into the footwells. Also, the electric window mechanism broke several times.

Is it time to post our nice non-VW Volkswagens?

Yeah all the models from the Golf 4 era suck when it comes to water ingress.
Had to re-seal all my doors this summer because water would come in when not parked on a level surface.

Go for it babe. If you don't give a shit about cars and want something cheap and reliable, Toledo is way to go.

>VR5

LMAO.
Enjoy having to replace your "maintenance free" chain every 100k km.

Fuck VAG timing chains

Right?

They are basically Volkswagen Golf but more sporty. Would recommend, it's a pretty nimble car even if you buy the ones with few horsepower.

Your place looks comfy, Polandball.

your goddamn fucking right. in the process of trying to now sell my shit box
