People have been telling you that CCGs are never going to be properly balanced how long? You only have yourself to blame for having expectations.

It has better and more consistent memes than Shadowverse to be honest. But its current meta is many times more cancerous than even pre-patch TotG.
Difference is it might actually be good again after a patch or two, but I don't think SV will ever be good with Cygames in charge.

these are the exact same decks that got me win streaks not too long ago and I couldn't possibly be playing worse than normal so it's pretty much just opening hand luck rng and the fact I had to go second against everyone I played against
there were two games in a row my opponent had a perfect 1-2-3 curve ending with grimnir and I strongly feel I lost both matches specifically because of that

Ah okay. Yeah I guess that is true. Gwent is allowing for more consistency than SV and hearthstone do, so you can make more synergistic/combo decks
You start out with a huge hand size in GWENT while in SV and HS you only have 3 cards at the beginning
The mulligan works in GWENT different aswell, you can't get a card back that you mulliganed away

When you design a deck you have to account for bricks and minimize the odds of drawing badly
This means:
>reduce combos
>design the deck with a good mana curve
>get lucky
I really wish decks weren't so inconsistent in SV, like allow us to choose one card that always appears in our opening hand

One thing I will give Gwent is that rewards good deck building and smart blacklisting with your mulligans which increase the chances of you getting the cards you want the most for your combo. I would love for SV to include a proper mulligan mechanic, I get so fucking tired of changing a high curve and ended up with an even higher curve.
