Yeah, the whole point was a potential one shot. Now there's pretty much no reason to use it.

I like the new pocket pistol though, I've always liked the sound it makes but it felt weak.

slight nerf seeing as how once you get a few headshots it's a straight upgrade.

he said a slight nerf, not to cut its core mechanic

it rewards headshots at first, yes, but once you get them, there's nothing stopping you from hardscoping for a second and a half to get nothing but bodyshots that you don't need to aim for. it's a direct upgrade at that point on the same tier as the eyelander, except even stronger.

It was a nerf to what was already the worst watch. No real spy should have used it in its previous state, and its current state is even more terrible. Valve should have buffed it.

Except it actually requires skill to land those beginning headshots, it's not like the machina.

yes, but even the the machina has a few sizable downsides that would prevent a good sniper from considering it as an option. what would prevent a good sniper from picking the bazaar bargain? most of the shots you make and most of the targets you go for can be dropped by a quickscope anyway. the downside is initially negligible anyway, and once you land those quickscopes, there's no downsides at all. other snowball type weapons still have downsides once you snowball to maximum efficiency, like the air strike.

BB does become strong after the first few headshots but it doesnt provide defensive buffs like eyelander does in terms of bonus health

a BB kangaroo man at full bonus is just as squishy as a stock snip, and will still die in one quickscope headshot

it DOES get stronger over time but it also doesnt let you live longer or move faster like the eyelander does

i meant in the terms that, once you get all the heads as eyelander demoknight, the -25 hp downside is completely lost and is in fact, completely replaced by even more health than you started off with or would have without using the eyelander. in the same vein, a bazaar bargain sniper will start off in worse shape, yes, but have better charge than a stock sniper with no downsides.

so? i never once claimed that the bb gave sniper more survivability, it's just that once you get the heads, it's a better weapon than stock. it lets you do more damage much faster, and in the case of fully charged bodyshots, with much less effort. you'll still get dropped in one hit by a sniper who's better than you, sure, but that's because it's not dds levels of broken. it's just better than stock.
