I couldn't come up with something with twice the budget. A Cayman 718 is probably the cheapest upgrade. Taking into consideration maintenance cost, fuel consumption and things like brakes and tires, the 86 is a ridiculously good deal overall. I get 34mpg commuting in mostly city traffic and kicking it hard at every chance I get.
