Whenever I'm interested in a car I just go read Wikipedia to find out what kind of specs it has. Engine codes aren't really difficult to memorize since they're in patterns usually (honda d16 is a 1.6 liter sohc engine, GM 350 is a 350 cubic inch v8) and so forth.

I think the 3800 supercharged is the best swap. at least ten years ago when I had a fiero.

3800 is just a no brainier swap because it's cheap
