Veeky Forums whats your opinion on the new honda ev urban and sports concepts and evs in general from there on

Personally i love its Design, finally a good looking ev

put a 220-250 hp combustion engine with 6 speed manual, keep it 2 seated and i'll buy it

+ 500$ worth of modifications

honda's aesthetics are better, go away pig disgusting boxter

If the crz wasn't a hybrid i would haveb ought it

hmmm yes i agree

The look alone appeals to me enough that I'd actually be willing to buy an EV but unfortunately it will never look like this even if it does make it to production. Also it will most likely be heavy and I don't have a garage or other way to keep it charged, either.

its qt

If they end up building that but didn't end up building pic related where way more people showed more interest for i will fucking kill myself.

oh wait, i'm fucking retarded that was a honda.

That shitty display would be the first thing I disable/remove.

CUTE

It sacrifices aerodynamics for looks and therefore i dislike it.

t. Prius driver

This and their other cute EV would be their first electric cars I would actually buy.

Honda doesn't have the balls to bring this Designed by Apple in California design language to the market.

more aero = more speed

it looks like fucking dogshit stop shilling it

This is probably my favorite EV design from TMS2017. I'm curious with Mitsubishi though. For whatever reason the won't get away from crossovers but I want to see how this thing performs. If it's better than Tesla I might get one to dd.

Op here, just wanted say that i love this car so much because im new to driving, got my license at 19 and i love it because it has a nice sporty design and its peace of mind in the sense of energy, cause i have an ecnobox dd, i dont have a car i want like a miata, 350z or anything similar but im always concerned when were going to run out if oil and ill get a car i want late, so the honda sports ev is a nice change of pace design wise from other evs like teslas

I feel like I'll look back at the era of ev cars and learn to appreciate them for what they were in their time, but as of today, I hate them, absolutely ugly.

shut the fuck up

That thing is scary. They built in a computer that has the final say about the performance it delivers, so if you're (((behaving inappropriately))) it'll nerf its own performance "to reduce danger to everyone else".
You don't drive that car. You're asking a computer to do it for you, and you'd better ask nicely.

Shill thread.

>Liking a new car is shilling

What isn't shilling to you

Do you people actually think this looks good?

I love its design language. Make it CRZ size, RWD, N/A fit engine, manual and I would buy this shit asap.

Everybody here shits on EVs, but a lightweight, small sporty rwd ev would be pretty cool. Just cut the e-nannies and I'd consider one.

good exterior design, bad engine choice
the 1.8 engine from the civic would have been marvelous

>Designed by Apple in California design language
I was trying to figure out what they were going for but I think you nailed it. That's exactly what it is

It'll keep it cheap my nigga.

He's talking about the CR-Z lad.

Rather have a compact 5door hatch as my first EV and a DD. I'll keep a lightweight NA boomexplosion box in roadsters where they belong, tyvm

WHAT THE FUCK
IS THAT A CAR

It looks cool desu. Easily the best concept out of that literal shitshow

It looks like lamborghini designed a rollerskate

Honda a cute. CUTE. I love this and the Urban EV Concept. With car design getting so over the top and shitty (Mitsubishi E-Evolution anyone?) something simple and clean is exactly what we need right now.

>Not programming it to read FUCK OFF whenever someone cuts you off

Looks like a super retarded challenger

>possibly an O-led display
>shity

Man im getting old.

This

i think i'm gonna buy a mazda instead

How does it look good? It looks like shit

The front reminds me of a 2000gt or any number of 70s sports cars

>hurr it's a new car why doesn't it look constipated??

Cars didn't always look like shit user

prius owner here
Drag coefficient gub, row boat in typhoon when turn. Microvan shitbox. Cheap though.

I really like the chassis design, but I hate the LED displays, and the fact that its a hybrid. Also looks like its made of plastic, would look much better with a glossy finish. The look really reminds me of the cars honda used to make before they started over-designing everything with ugly creases and folds everywhere.

Heres a shot from behind. I like the back end but could do without the huge window.

It looks like a Toyota CH-R on steroids. To be fair, I would actually enjoy the CH-R if it wasn't so fucking horrible to drive.

>could do without the huge window.
nigga...

>if it werent so horrible to drive
What the fuck does this even mean, that the Toyota actually drives worse than it fucking looks? Jesus christ that is a god damned feat desu

this actually looks good. get it under 20k and i'd buy it.

It's a small suv wannabe compact with absolutely no power to be neither a utility small suv, nor the speed to be a quick compact, and on top of it all it's ride is stiff and the interior isn't nice to look at at all. Which is a shame because I unironically like how the exterior looks, and is the only Toyota that I've seen in forever that didn't make me angry to look at.

Why is the hood so long when it's an electric car? If it's a big trunk, I guess that's okay, but shoot hooded hatchback is the best layout for this shit, as nice as its proportions are.

it will never be produced in such a form then why do you even care?

note that once battery tech catches up there will be no need to worry about MPGs or efficiency limitations, so cars can go back to being boxy and styled like whatever they want.
good lookin concept

well, nissan has totally given up on anything sports or performance related, so it makes sense they won't do nice things

>why does this car have nice proportions, it'd be much better if it was indistinguishable from every other hatchback on the market

You are what's wrong

I suppose this is just a body shell, no mention of whether it'd be front or rear wheel drive?

It looks cool as shit, the design doesn't really scream "honda", I would've expected it as a retro 2000gt or even whatever year celica, with those headlights

looks like a mustang from the thumbnail

I love the sports concept, give me an interior on the level of their Clarity EV or better in terms of materials/layout and a range of at least 150+ miles. I hope they are able to maintain this design language if they ever make it to production and crash testing as a nice contrast to their current civics and accords which have a lot of busy complex body work.

Recently was able to pick up a Fit EV, basically a 2nd gen 2013 fit with an electric motor. I got a few complaints about the back headrests and the infotainment system but that applies to the gas fit as well but so far I'm really impressed. That instant torque always puts a smile on my face.

I hope they add a smug button to the steering wheel that does just that.

This and the Mazda concepts give me hope for the future.

100% this, Nissan tried the idx here, it failed. Idk how much you guys get paid to post here but this is one of the ugliest cars I've seen in a while.

>mazda reenters the $40k sedan market
>with an interior that nuts on shit from cars that cost three times as much
how

im hopeful user, we need a good looking electric sports car out here

Well the Mazda interiors, while the new ones (CX-5 and CX-9) have a good deal of leather and nice looks, they are still cheaper materials and if the last model of CX-5 interior is any indication, the interior starts rattling after a bit.
Though, my dealer fixed the rattle in my CX-5 dash without me even asking them just the last time I took it for its regular service.

They were supposed to improve the fit of the new CX-5 interior, but it'll be a year or two before we know they really did.

The better interiors probably only cost like $250 yet let them charge like $1k more for the car. Mazda has realized they'll never be a big volume seller, but, like Volvo, they could make more per car without losing sales, most likely.
I don't see them costing $40k except with like all the options. Even a high spec CX-9 is $45k, and is pretty damn luxurious and nice.

rofl get the fuck out of here grandpa, if you want what you just described go buy one, there are hundreds of thousands of them shitting up the road

the body looks like it should be rwd, but ill be disappointed if its fwd

Safety regulations mean the end prodict will look like horseshit as usual

can't wait to draw porn of it

let me guess, you want it coal powered too? kek

Heartbreaking that such a good looking concept car will never see the light of day in production.

go fuck some tree, communist bus riding faggots
dinosaurs didnt give up their lives for nothing and now we must ensure all men can use their freedom to tell everyone to fuck themselves and feel the power of having a non expensive fast 2 seat car that is not a disgusting boxter 86 or a gay miata

electrics in 2017 are for women

looks like a soulless Apple product

ultra bland and boring

I love the shape. It needs new wheels, headlights, taillights, and a more discreet emblem.

>could do without the huge window.
I know right? all that shitty visibility mucking up the design

>electrics in 2017 are for women
but your big black vibrator, user...

I feel like these will be fun to fuck with secondhand once they lose value and battery technology improves

like installing extra batteries or rewiring the existing ones

it's so cute omg

>aftermarket electric motors/parts
that would be interesting to see what could come of that.

>you could never afford it

>put a combustion engine in order to make it a good ev
>ev
>e(lectric) v(ehicle)
Imagine being this retarded

...

looks like a challenger with more down syndrome than challengers already look like they have

>People thinking its gonna look like this once safety and all the 5 star rating certifications and all that dumb shit is added to it
