Thats how meta's work. Trying to work against one deck usually makes you vulnerable to another. The decks that have answer to everything without weakening themselves? Those are the ones the meta builds itself around.

I've been playing Burn rune and I'll tell you it's not much of a counter to smart blood players. Ones that are smart will just evolve him and trade while hitting your face for 8 damage which is more than enough damage for the card to do its job. The only counter to stopping that damage is "just don't play followers bro lol".

And if they're even smarter they just try to save as many evolves as possible for spawn which isn't very hard considering how much removal is tacked onto the new Blood followers for free along with the crazy early tempo of the neutral package.

All the sword and hag-fags are pretty much gone and the ladder is mostly blood right now. Good thing they announced monthly updates because the game is going to need one.

2 is working fine for me if you play control for the first part of the game
