That's basically all you need. You can possibly switch the shotgun out for the reserve shooter if you'd like. However, personally, I don't use it because I'd rather have the extra shots than damage.

Agreed. I personally use pistol because it's good to have a sidearm when you want to track down some stragglers. Scout has various other pistols meant for damage and utility, but engie's secondaries aren't pistols. They are more like tools used for utility purposes. It's kinda odd.

Only situation where it's slightly better than stock. Too bad it doesn't change the number of shots required to kill most classes, two meatshots + initial flaming + afterburn will kill soldiers and demo/pyro whether you are using one or the other. It only changes whether you 1shot or 2shot a medic, but if a pyro is in airblast range of a medic, the medic should be fucking dead anyway
