The people's car of Veeky Forums - I'M CUMMING I'M CUMMING I'M CUMMING

Current name:
>Kuroba Quattropace
Launch (estimated):
>1986/87

Trims:
>Poverty base - 1.8L SOHC 4 Banger (most likely borrowed from another manufacturer to reduce cost on cheapest model) developing 110 bhp. Steelies, unpainted bumpers, no frills
>
>ECO - Either base 1.8l with a low pressure turbo or a more advanced engine with a low pressure turbo, developing around 130 bhp. Aero rear hatch, aero bumpers, covered rear wheels
>Base 6 - Company's self developed 2.0l straight 6 with a rev limit of 8k, develops nearly 200 bhp. Nice wheels, nicer interior, nicest spoiler, NICE.
>TURBO I - Turbo charged 2.0L I6 (unknown power figures), body kit, spoilers and sports wheels.
>TURBO II - Twin Turbo 2.0L I6 270bhp, body kit, spoilers, sports wheels.
>Racing and Rally versions haven't yet been worked on, sorry.

Ofc, there would be more trims based off of the base 4 and 6 (i.e. LX, GX, GT, etc), just not going to name them all.

Interior is going to be the main focus next week.

>A car designed by a bunch of autists, so what? What can I do with it?
It will be simplified and put into Assetto Corsa and Rfactor ( other games might be possible too, i.e. GTA 4 and BeamNG, but that's too much to promise atm).

>Have you seen another user working on the Touge racing game?
Yes, we have talked, this has a strong chance of making it in that game.

Are TURBO-I and TURBO-II confirmed road-spec racing versions?

Dunno, will see.

>basically a 944

I'll take that as a yes
Too late, you had 4 threads to say something about it.

Where are the wheel arches?

Can we get a vote on what type of racing version(s) there is/are?

>not using a I5 for all badge types
you are fucking up royal
>base model is dogoomi status I4
>but get a better trim and
>let ur head get melted by a
>funsize I6
wew underpowered lads

Do basketball net cupholders, and make sure they look tacked on in weird places, like an afterthought for american market.

>not having period correct Jap shit as a theme

anyhoo Im knocking back screwdrivers and am going to go ahead and formally apologize for any incoherent shit I say

>most likely borrowed from another manufacturer

Mitsubishi 4G62/G62B?

1795cc

100hp in naturally aspirated form
130hp-160 turbo

>Racing and Rally versions haven't yet been worked on, sorry.

I dicked around in Automation and made a rally engine

1785cc inline 6 so it can weigh light as fuck (890kg) and puts out 350hp so it will be around Lancia Delta S4 territory in terms of displacement and power

redline is 8500 rpm

probably be better to use a 4 cylinder but whatever

>Thread theme(s):

wonder if it was ever used for a (car) commercial

Def needs an accordion shift boot

fuck I love accordion shift boots so much, I wish more cars still had these

my car has one of these and man is it noisy

me no get the appeal

Naked would be lewd

We already have 2 racing versions
>GTR-I
TT-I4 with AWD, did poorly due to poor reliability and fragile transmissions
>GTR-II
TT-I6 with AWD, godlike track machine dominating its class until banned

No rally trims yet, or RWD racing trims

similar to what the other user suggested, i think you should integrate this part of the hood into the side fenders (that small strip of hood and all the way back near the windshield)

>TT-I6 with AWD

What can you do with a 2.5 I6 on a Performance Division budget in the late '80s?

I stripped it naked just for the nice quietness but it looked weird so I put the accordion back on

fucker sounds like this tho

youtube.com/watch?v=wmJCG_VUPtY

2498cc

no additional tech bonuses or anything like the 1.8 six

the connecting rods are starting to go from too much torque

You dampen the noise by inserting a bit of a car washing sponge in the boot.
Source: I drive a Volvo 240, it came with a foam piece like that from the factory which broke down to nothing over 25 years. I use a sponge now.

It cuts down the noise SIGNIFICANTLY.

Still I like hearing my sewing machine engine. It lets me know what it's doing and was how I had to shift until I got a tachometer (which I still don't usually use).

The original volvo foam is no longer available but it looked like this. P/N 1371737.
It's super easy to make your own.

Also if we're making our own boot, then using thicker rubber reduces noise a lot too.

So yeah my vote is for an accordion boot.

Rear glass is simply far too long, it looks like some 50s imagining of a sci-fi car from the future for than it does a sleek 2-door liftback. And I still don't understand the random dip where the side mirrors go, but it's too late to even think about changing them now.

The rear looks good though, I like it!

On the fucking nose, my man.
Feel free to cut it back a tad for reliability, we have our GTR-II engine.

This better become a fucking mod for BeamNG or some shit tbqh.

Is this car only for short people?

damn this is probably the most useful shit Ive found on Veeky Forums

always hated how noisy it was

yeah its pushing 23 psi lel

dropping it to 18 makes the bottom end happy and it still makes 475 hp and 350 lb ft

if JDM, then yes

Kuroba head engineer.
One more request, this time for the GTR-I. Take the 1.8 I4 and get as much power as physically possible out of it. Reliability is out of the window. If it can start and redline without blowing up half the time, it's good.

based on the 8v SOHC Mitsubishi so theres definitely more power if you changed to a 12v or 16v head or even DOHC

dont doubt 350hp would be managed with some tuning

Top model turbo should have a bit more displacement, maybe bored out to 2.2 or 2.4 L

Forgot to mention WAT edition with a rotary

what the fuck are you guys doing? it's literally a mk3 supra with a (minor) body kit

Please give it a cockpit style cluster

Are you saying you wouldn't want a Mk 3 that can actually handle?

Fuck yes that thing will destroy gearboxes, I love it. What can you make in a 4 banger we could mid-mount for muh Group B? Just imagine the possibilities, I'm already picturing this this thing with Manta-style foggies on the front.

Shit. Forgot to add that the Turbo1 is RWD and t2 is AWD

K

U dummy its not supposed to be an actual accordion

On the eco only plz

+5 tech on all parts

its power is similar to Group B cars of the era with the same displacement

pretty sure Group B would be dead by time the car came out tho

bump

>BTW, this car is just slightly larger than a e30, so no big engines.
People have put goddamn V12s into E30s. With twin tarbos, no less.

>gutless
>gutless
>gutless
>gutless
>starting to pick up
>ALL THE POWER
Love it.

no you dont, my 1989 ford escort 1.6 shitbox makes more power at 3000 rpm. peak power actually, and it feels like GARBAGE

But the point of the racing version isn't to be driveable, it's to make maximum peak power. Who cares if it's a laggy monster when you're gonna be way up in the rev range most of the time anyway?

Christ I love it.

Yeah Group B was disbanded around the late 80s if I recall. Still, what a fucking beast you've put together, I love it. I think when everything else is done we'll have to make up a mid-mounted rally-spec version.

what he said.

yeah the devs admit their turbo algorithm isnt that great and that every turbo spools way later than it should

but hey its good for 80s turbos

>dat 30 psi coming in from 5250-6500

I got it right on LFS so I guess when thats all out and if you fuck with the game you can enjoy it

Looks like a Saturn mixed with a Honda Insight

>Previous thread: boards.Veeky Forums.org/o/thread/18112213#top
>posting this weird ass link
>not making links to the new thread in the old thread

are you a newfag or just baiting?

This thread is veritable proof that this board is full of autistic children

>420 hp @ 7500 RPM
blaze it

Quattropace sounds like the name of a "performance variant" of a Malaise era American shitbox. They use the foreign sounding "quattro" to allude to the Yuropoor AWD system, which is just the rear wheels being driven by the front wheels by means of a chain, and pace is to allude to the fuck huge turbo that takes an eternity to spool and produces 6PSI of boost, making the heavily detuned, smog choked American 4-banger crank out 112 HP at the crank.

Yeah, but there's no way in hell you'd fit all that in with the accessories and other engine-bay bits.

Oh yeah, OP, don't forget to stick the battery in the trunk for better weight distribution.

Haha fuck that jump. It's like someone tied a string to the needle and yanked it down when it got to 5k.

Why are you making a mark 3 supra? This car exists already.

Thank god someone else sees this. This is retarded. The trims are legit the exact same.

>after pretending to know what they're talking about with engines for a million threads they change them all
Hilarious

I love this project and these threads so much but I'm italian and Quattropace sounds so fucking wrong. Where the fuck did it even come from

Couple threads ago an user suggested it.

That's the most disgusting GC/GF interior I have ever seen.

>That single intake vent
Really chaps my autism

>We want the 80s Citroen Audience

I want fucking five and is there a fancy suspension option?

This, give it some goddamn hydropneumatics for maximum /comfy/

Why the fuck not?

>Previous thread: boards.Veeky Forums.org/o/thread/18112213#top

>tripfaggay drives a shitheap volvo
Never will I take any advice you dish out ever again

4 door when?

wow so once this is finished it deserves a Veeky Forums banner.

And the thread themes too

When this version and EU, US specs are done. I'll think about it.

>that absolutely terrible topology, edge flow and mesh density

Jesus christ.

And what do you drive, user?

noice

If I ever do a 4dr, this is somewhat like what It would look like.

good luck selling it to amerifats

It's a far way off of a polished design.

...

yeah much better
also why not change your license plate from 44-86 to 14-88

I drive a Probe homie, rubber accordions are pretty common of the era. Maybe I should use my Crown Royal bag as a shift boot and pretend it's the olden days.

I like that much more.

:^)

44 was meant to represent ''quattropace'' and 86 the year.

nj, looks good

Bump

Dump

Yeah that looks much nicer my dude.

I have to say, Quattropace sounds like a trim level/type for the car, like Stingray, not the name. It sounds like it could be the top-tier AWD TT performant model since it seems like it implies AWD and speed.

I would propose we submit names again and strawpoll it. Down the line of course, gotta finish the actual car first.

Also on a completely seperate note, I just imagined this car with an automatically adjusting ducktail spoiler that would angle up at speed to produce more downforce. Is that retarded sounding or could that actually look really cool?

Please let it be a tri or quad rotor

Yeah, when and if user's suggest better names I will make a strawpoll.

Working on the DTM model.

This is just a simple version, don't mind the miss matching body panels.

see
>you had 4 threads to say something about it

Put brass colored Campagnolo E26 rims rims on it

for racing versions you can replace popups with flat headlights
unless the racing series it's designated for doesn't have night races

>suggest better names
could just go with a simple letter/number name

>4P
>P4
>4PL
>4LP (L is for leaf)
and then throw in some Xs, Zs, Gs, or Ts to make it sound good

...

sick bruv

Redesigned the front bumper indicators.
