Friendly reminder that SFV and T7 are identically bad. Both have horrendous input lag, terrible online experience, a lack of character variety, and sparse on features. They even share artificial load times. If you promote either of these games you're a fighting game community killing scrub equal to a Smash kiddie.

What can I do to get better at fighting games? How long have the people in this thread played fighters for?
I figured injustice 2 would be my shot at becoming decent since I was finally somewhat in the loop since day one instead of what I did with MKX (the first fighter that I really tried to play properly) where even though I bought it day one, I only really got into it at all towards the end of 2016, by the time everyone had learned the game inside out and I was still asking people what a 50/50 is. I think I put around 150-160 hours into the game in total
Although I can see ive already improved and am starting to get on the level where Im more focused on reading my opponent rather than the character itself, I sometimes just crumble. Especially in ranked I sometimes just get annihilated without being able to do anything, and at other times I can hold my own against players from pro teams. What the hell is wrong with me? Sometimes it just feels like I cant push any skill out of myself, guessing wrong on every single 50/50 and missing every block

I've been playing seriously since the start of this year. Before that I have been playing fighting games here and there for pretty much all my life.
Don't worry about ranked loses too much, the way the mode is made it can reward doing dumb shit and gimmicks that wouldn't work in more than a single match/set.
Also I can't resist the urge to say that NRS games are kusoge, but if it's what you like I hope you're having a good time.

I don't know almost anything about NRS games and you don't really specify any problem areas so it's hard to help here. Overall you should look up tutorials on basic fighting game ideas that work on just about any game. Tick throws, crossups, projectile -> anti-air them jumping over, throw baits, frame traps, okizeme, understand possible situational combos (like in Injustice I think unclashable combos or damage is important in the second round) etc
Also if you have trouble with the 50/50's you need to figure out if it's even a pure 50/50 in the first place, if you can reversal through it, if there's a slightly different timing for the high / low so you can cover both options with a fast block motion. And remember you can't block and stop everything, if you could then that game is literal kusoge, try to get a better read on the enemy

I understand all of these, exactly why its becoming harder for me to notice what Im doing wrong. I can usually pinpoint things I did wrong from match replays but this almost never means that I actually absorbed the information and applied it properly in the next match
