Oh poopie my melanin friend, what are you attempting?

Dude, they're 9MB. You can't upload them to Veeky Forums.

Is it like a requirement for Hakke weapons to be ugly as shit? Goddamn they look like nerf guns.

Typical nu-titan making excuses. Wei Ning would have posted them.

>6 subclasses at launch

Sorry to bother you guys.
I'm not a regular but the OP caught my eye.
Could I bother you guys with a request for source on the OP image?

You know, when Eriana-3 saw Wei Ning dead on Crota's "blade", she wasn't talking about Crota's sword...

Porn. The source is porn.

Source?

>come back to Destiny after a year off
>nobody will take me on VoG because I'm not 5 billion light

newest footage shows that they reduced the subclasses options (those shapes next to the subclass selection) from 3 to 2 on the inventory screen

it's way easy to get to raid-ready light now.

balance reason: easier to build a new subclass to fill in for holes in the other subclasses after you know what the holes are. better than having to rebalance all 3 from day 1.

publisher reason: more features to put on the first major DLC.

I've gone from 320 to 395 this last week, but every LFG group apparently needs 400 light and the completion logo like it's year 1 all over again.

theyre lazy and want a carry. dollar sez they usually aren't 400 themselves. see if you can pick up a group here: being not stupid and 395 is better than being a mouthbreather 400.

also keep on the strikes. the chest at the end will drop upgrades.

Ask here some people will do it through share boredom

>no stormcaller
Fuuuuuuuuck yooooooooou

>grind my ass off to get rank 7 in the stupid book
>go to store to buy AOT shirt
>fucking Ramen shirt isn't sold out anymore

I hate you Bungie.

Why not both?

I ain't spending 60 bucks on shirts at the same time

Oh, well thanks anyways.
sorry for taking out of your time for this, I wish you all the best in your thread, good bye.

Join up for a nightfall

SEVENISDARKER saves you 17% and then it isn't 60.

I want to illustrate my issue with the current loot system. Take gloves, for example. There are six different combinations of stats you can get, of which I aim for one. There's a one in two chance of it rolling with increased grenade throw distance. There's a one in eight chance of it rolling my preferred loader perk. And about a one in five chance of the stats being high enough for a T12 build.

That is a one in four hundred and eighty chance that I'll get a great gloves roll. Given that a raid only drops a particular armor slot about half the time, and I can only get one chance a week, and there are fifty-two weeks in a year, I would have to raid the same raid every week for eighteen YEARS and twenty-four weeks.

Assuming you can get two legendary gauntlet engrams in an hour of grinding heroic strikes with friends, you can get a great set of gauntlets after two hundred and forty hours of straight strike grinding (if you haven't died of boredom yet). As long as you're fine looking like a clown. If you want to assemble a specific set for fashion, you're going to have to run through the the twenty or so different gauntlets that can decrypt. So, you know, four thousand eight hundred hours of power-running heroic strikes. If you spend 12 hours every day running heroic strikes, it would take you four hundred days to do so.

And, thanks to the magic of statistics, that's all on average. See, half the people will have gotten their stuff by then (or in less time, the lucky fuckers). But half the people will take EVEN LONGER. The current loot system is ass. The current loot system is shit that came straight from the grindiest of Korean MMOs. Fuck the current system, and fuck everyone who supports it.

That's fucking horrible. They're taking 1 step foward and 2 steps back. Why tf are they making me pay for subclasses again.

>Turning my post into copypasta

fucking source nigger

>you can only pay with credit cards
Fuck off bungie I like paypal more

>he doesn't have a paypal debit card
LMAOing at your life

It's exactly what they did for D1. Did you think they really only had two classes planned when D1 launched?

>tell me everything about D2
>but don't expect me to actually look that stuff up in the many videos that already discuss the official videos and announcements you all learned it from

All of the videos have had 3 subclass icons, show me one where there's only 2.

>design, balancing, testing and art/engineering take time
Realistic expectations, folks. technically speaking they are launching with 6 "new" subclasses, as the structure and perk spreads have been completely redone.

If you really don't want to get expansions then why are you invested in a living game?

nth for I sure hope they don't fuck it up and actually make the armor fixed

Does XIM4 work well with Destiny?

no

>6 subclasses
>skill tree permutations basically don't exist
>exclusively trying to do 4 v 4 Halo style competitive play
>trying to do this without equal starts
Genius, purely genius

>equal starts
explain

usually this argument is a "pickups on map is best" argument. It is probably bait.

One of the core things about Halo and arena shooters is that everyone starts with the same weapons and abilities. You can't have a serious competitive shooter without that. Not including that was one of the biggest reasons why Halo 4 was so ridiculed.
Destiny 1 wasn't criticized for it because it never tried to be about hardcore balance, Destiny 2 is walking into flames

You were right
That sounds bland as can be
>You can't have a serious competitive shooter without that
Last time I checked, Halo is the only first person shooter with this system, to think Halo is the only competitive shooter, which it is far from, is the pinnacle of arrogance.

So you completely ignored why they moved to 4v4. And structural interplay, map usage, and player prediction are more important to things being competitive than asshats who can't handle higher variables which require a broader skillset to deal with.

Halo 4 was shitty in a competitive context because the game was about as balanced as a suffocating fish and other core systems, not because loadouts were variable.

>You were right
No he wasn't. I never advocated for map based pickups. In fact, I'm just not advocating for Destiny to go down the competitive path at all.
>Last time I checked, Halo is the only first person shooter with this system,
Are you brain damaged?
>Halo 4 was shitty in a competitive context because the game was about as balanced as a suffocating fish and other core systems
Yeah, that's what happens when you try to put weapon unlocks and perks into a competitive shooter.

Classic Arena Shooters usually did it. So if "competitive" is all about twitch aiming and physics exploitation against player prediction for someone, then yeah.

I personally think adaptability, map usage, and smart team play are more important for competitive play.

Albeit, with how Des2ny is structured, it wouldn't be hard to run a competitive mode where you get assigned a loadout instead of selecting on. Then your only variables are subclass abilities, and even those could be "loadout locked" from a theory standpoint.

...

The weapon unlocks and perks were minor issues relative to the overall lack of balance. It wasn't because loadouts were variable, it was because he perks and abilities and guns weren't balanced for shit against each other. Those are two very different things.

>enter iron banner playlist
>Shaxx says "one minute remaining" during the loading screen
>get in-game
>my team is down by half of the potential max score
>this has happened three times in a row

No, but i don't expect them to make me pay again.

Sorry, six times.

I'm not worried about the customizability for subclasses personally, because I think it will be outweighed by how much more balanced and viable different builds will be.

The big concern for me, just like everyone, is whether or not they decide to keep the TTK subclasses. As much as I would like 3 new ones at some point down the line, shipping with 6 subclasses again, each of which only has 2 configurations, would really fucking suck.

>boohoo everything should be free
get a job commie

I think he just wants to get a complete game if he's gonna be charged full price.

>WHY ISNT EVERYTHING FREE REEEEEEEEEEE

It will be complete. "Having as much stuff as the previous game and its three years of additional content" is not the definition of "complete".

i got two of those today and only had 1 in the previous two weeks. probably some fuckery with the server changes.

customization is in the gear. people are just whining over losing stats they really had no choice in.

well then he can get a nintendo switch and play splat2n. grown ups deal with reality.

Goodbye, beautiful city. We hardly knew you.

>the iron shell is still all white
>will probably stay that way
Gg bungie.

shoulda read the grimoire

We'll be back there within a few missions

its pretty obvious the hate for d2 is real.

devs fucked up the design and removed everything good about the game.

what else is out there?

Nah the excitement pretty obviously outweighs the worries

>"everything good"
Such as?

(you)

>shills defending their unfinished this game this much
Jesus, reddit when did you get here?

>removed everything good about the game
Nah, brah. It still has co-op PvE and Bungie gunplay. And maybe the lore will be good!

>implying there's nearly enough grimoire about the Last City

Streaming no wipe raid gauntlet if anyone cares for any reason at all.

/ainoqaino

...

>removed everything good about the game
I too hated having to go to a third-party website to know when public events might be happening, and if I had to find people to do a nightfall.

And Fist of Havoc is no longer a panic button super? What a fucking crime

>implying it's not a panic button plus now
Out of the 4 shown it still is the only one that comes out nearly instantly. If we are only getting 6, nova bombs will be the next closest.

Alpha team is back, the thread is saved!

>If I spend $60 I should get a game, and multiple packs of dlc for free
I would agree with you if this was call of duty where the dlc is just a bunch of pvp maps and a new zombie map.
But destinys dlc has always been more than just a map pack.
Even if house of wolves was fucking lame and ttk and roi weren't a years worth of content.
>but games used to only cost 40-60 dollars in the 80s! Why are they so expensive now?
Inflation my dude.
And game now take way more effort to make than the pieces of shit that came out before the n64.
Also, as a side note, $40 in 1985 would be worth $90 today.
It's a combo of games taking more time and effort, and money being worth less.
And, of course, companies make more money when they stretch content out.
But I would rather pay $90 and get a base game with 2 quality dlc, then pay $60 and get a base game with 2 shitty dlcs that were half assed because the devs weren't getting paid for that effort.
If anything the division would happen with every game if dlc were made free.
Where all dlc was just half assed pvp game modes and broken content.

>no wipe raid gauntlet

Wish us luck H-haha

...

Is that an _____ ____ reference?

Nah, it's from Sleeper shenanigans on Atheon during the second week of Age of Triumph. So many accidental suicides.

THE PROPHECY IS FULFILLED!

[Angry Taehoon sounds]

the only gaming shirts I have are a Halo-related one and a Destiny-related one, and they both relate to outside forum sites, specifically b.org

So for Bungie Day this year we got concept art and wallpapers?
That's pretty fucking ok I guess

Nah house of wolves and dark below were shit, now if the DLC were like the rise of iron, then they'll be worth it.

and codes for early beta access

THE

SHOWDOWN

BEGINS

>Wiped on Crota

what are you talking about, House of Wolves had more story content than Rise of Iron and felt less like they were doing it just because
"oh hey let's define the Iron Lords and give Saladin a backstory and explain what Rasputin was protecting and make a Fallen raid, so we can knock out several fan requests with one expansion, but let's not make that many levels or quests for it because that'll take time, also let's majorly increase the light level cap for giggles"

SKOLAS RACE

DON,ENJI,ZIPPY VS NOOBISH,PANDOX,BIASEDBOB

there are 1 or 2 interviews around where throw money at the screen suggested that they might be behind in development
meaning that some features could be missing at launch

could be padding so they can 360 degrees walkaway from shit that'll make a fraction of people (on reddit) flip out, or they're just saying that so people will purchase and wait for it to "get better" in the DLCs, or they might be really behind
I think they should push it back and ship it proper to avoid another Halo 5
