I just did angels with Luka and Ilias alone because they're the only 2 people I used a lot that were of identical race and it was still easy enough.

The race battles are pretty buggy imo. I did it the human one for the trophy and it worked with luka and sonia as master homunculuses but I could not get the lamia one to work no matter what. Tried all 4 with the lamia base race, nope. 2nd tier and 3rd races, nope.

I used Yoma, two Feral Yoma, and Sphinx the queen class Yoma and it didn't work.

Yeah but what characters did you use, just because it has access to a race doesn't mean it's classified as that race.

Just go to your party selection screen and sort by race and pick the ones that appear on the list of each

I did Vampires without changing any settings on Queen + her 2 bitches + Elder Vampire(?).

Hell, you wouldn't be able to DO almost any of them if it didn't only check front 4, because Luka can't be benched.

Yeah the actual race they're set as a job doesn't actually matter at all. For example Emily, Mephisto, Vetara, and Riza are all classified as Yoma so they can all enter. You can set Emila as a Scylla, Mephisto as a Lamia, Vetara as an Apoptosis, and Riza as a Ghost and you can still enter just fine
