First for I would totally ride the new goldwing.

doc says i cant ride

heart problems and its too much adrenaline

what do i do

I want one to strip and race it
The dct version
Because fuck you, i know it's shit, that's the point

Keep riding

get more opinions until you hear the right one.

You guys said that the Z900RS was cucked and had less performance than the Z1.

Good news:

Kawasaki Z1 (1972)
>903 cc
>82 PS at 8500 rpm
>73.5 N·m at 8500 rpm
>Top speed: 132 mph

Kawasaki Z900RS (2018)
>948 c
>111 PS at 8500 rpm
>98.5 N·m at 6500 rpm
>Top speed: TBD

Wow it's faster than a bike from 1972 it must be good!

I am a Dr and give you permission to keep riding

The fact that you felt the need to try and correct dbt on something is where you went wrong.

>it must be good
Nice reading comprehension.

...

lose 50 pounds

>too much adrenaline
ride a harley

>Dying of boredom over dying of fun

I never said it was good, I said that the people saying it was cucked and had less performance were very wrong.

I said it's worse than the z900 by like 15hp

Just picked up this dual sport this morning, thoughts on it? It's nice and zippy as far as I can tell.

>doc says i cant ride
Try moving to a 1st world country.

I think he'd rather just not ride.

>Serow 225.

Is that the one with both a kickstarter and an electric one?

Are you ready for the age of airless tyres?

Just an electric starter.

smoke pot then go ride.

that's really gross looking I hope they don't end up like that

Degenerate

puked a little

I'm 99% sure gonna buy a new rebel 500 for my first bike, anything I need to know before I do? I can't wait to start riding to work

buy a used one. you will replace it pretty quick.

why's that?

>less power is worse

how does it feel to be a nobike child

...

1st bike is always an experiment. after you ride it for a while you will start building up a list in your head of things you want your next bike to do.

Pic for this thread. It's my first bike, so I'm hoping I thoroughly enjoy it.

what would even be the advantage?

Decent enough beginner bike, not particularly exciting though.

how do these handle sidewall impacts and the like?

Would this be a good riding bag?

>what would even be the advantage?
No punctures, no tyre maintenance beyond cleaning the rubber itself.

Idk

looks like what a 13 year old would buy

no. shit hanging off waves around and gets annoying.

>No punctures

never had one

>no tyre maintenance beyond cleaning the rubber itself.

pretty sure theres gonna be the risk of shit getting inside them as well now and checking air-pressure every couple weeks isnt all that much of a hassle.

this seems to be an answer to a question nobody asked.

the straps are whats important

Lol dual sports are literally the king of hooning bikes. Great for getting on-off road and riding up into the mountains too. A DR650 is basically the best street legal bike for fucking around and having on the market, but it's way too tall for what I'm assuming is a beginner.

whats a good motorcycle for commuting 25 mi / day

I have found out I can comfortably fit two 6packs in my backpack.
It's good shit.
What you drinkin on tonight /dbt/?

MT-03

just kidding m8
have fun with it

BMW G310GS.

>tfw I ride like a complete lunatic

Define riding like a complete lunatic.

here's your (You)

I go about 90-100mph when the limit is 60. I filter very aggressively and my bike is a big 1200.

I do risky overtakes. Just so I can get to work 5 mins earlier as well as the sheer fun factor.

sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/mcy/d/ninja-300/6390779598.html

About to make the largest cash transaction of my life and exit nobike status. New rider. Talked him down to $3000. For 3k miles and like new condition that seems fair to me. Thoughts /dbt/?

Sounds like normal riding on a bigger bike to me my dude.

I was riding home earlier in 3 degrees Celsius and I was cruising at about 90 (in a 60 zone also) and I saw a car up ahead that looked like it was pushing on, so I accelerated on to catch up.

It was some Mercedes ML63 AMG cruising along at about 100, which is was faster than most people would dare drive around here.

Either way, I decided to overtake him at 135 on the back wheel, just because.

It's a bit expensive sure but he didn't say a budget, and it's a genuinely good bike, decent power for overtakes but not fast, super comfy, windscreen, good fuel economy.

forgot to mention I commute through twisty country roads where most drivers are doing between 30-40. Otherwise I would be going topspeed if it were just straights.

>Just so I can get to work 5 mins earlier
I regularly get my 25-30min commute down to 15, so you are ok

>risk of shit getting inside them
pretty sure they're just showing off the design inside. They'll have a sidewall.

Likewise. It was actually quite nice to see somebody driving an AMG model at speed, most people drive 30 under the limit around here so that was cool. Still, had to assert my dominance as the faster vehicle and all. Plus new exhaust so made loads of noise doing it.

Balance and cylinder count together won't replace displacement but they will get you more power for your displacement.

Make a bigger twin. The guy with the bigger four will be able to tune it for even more power. He gets more control over combustion with smaller chambers, more fuel burnt for power, and spins it at upwards of 16kRPM.

In the same vein, you could make a 2l I4, and a 2l V8 or 2l v6 would smoke it no matter how hard you tried to get power out of it all things being equal.

sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/mcy/d/2003-honda-919-cb900-hornet/6382618456.html

Get this instead. You won't regret it. They are much easier to handle than little faux-sportbikes, and the riding position and lack of fairings will keep you at sane speeds voluntarily.

Fantastic choice try to find used

It depends on the rider's motives for riding

>anything I need to know before I do?
Think how you are going to take your bag, on the back?, with a net on back seat(if it's possibleon this bike) etc.

Post a nicer-looking sports bike, I bet you can't.

Decepticons, mobilize!

Where can I buy pic related? I've only seen it on RevZilla and it's sold out. Does it go by any other name? Is it actually good or is it trash?

>put a 2l v8 in your bike
>it weighs 700 pounds now
>and the frame is wide as fuck and not aerodynamic
>put a v4 in
>make less power
>go around a track faster

K

very slow kawasacker rider leaning at incredible low speeds

Why do I need to be leaning? It's just a good photo

>taking the msf for the second time tomorrow

Surely ill pass this time!!!!!!

>posts a retard-looking cyclops

>Ride sportbike
>sacrifice comfort for cornering clearance
>buy expensive thicc tires
>pay a premium insurance premium
>don't corner

Stop bullying MV-chan.

It's a comfy bike
Cheap tires
I pay $350 a year for two bikes
And I guess

MV augusta design philosophy:

Put deformable fairings on a GSXR and do a top speed run, then put a heavy ass SSSA on it because copying ducati copying honda copying BMW makes you cooler

...

Here in Brazil they came that way too but you can get oem parts to convert them to what I described, as that was Yamaha's original intention anyway.

I need to respoke a wheel but everywhere near me charges $150-300 to do it. At that price I might as well buy all the tools and do it myself

What kind of tools would I need to do it? As far as I can tell, I'd just need a spoke wrench, tire spoons to get the tire off, and a truing stand. Anything I'm missing?

Alternatively, are prices better in bigger cities? I'll be around Phoenix and LA soon, should I get it done when I'm around there instead?

not orky enough

nobody is gonna buy a retro-naked to put it on the track but even if you plan to do that the 900 RS isnt gonna feel out of place.

110hp is way above what you usually get from these types of rides, who the fuck cares if the Z900 has even more?

Where's the daka?

Just sold my street triple, looking for something more luxury/pretty

Thoughts? Thinking panigale but my budget is about 8k used

Speed triple

fuck that im done with triumph

>pretty
>anything modern
You're about 20 years late bud

>augusta

Put 8k down on a new Goldwing if you want luxuries

Xsr 900
cb1000r

If you think that 15hp doesn't make a difference in day to day riding, you're delusional

>luxury
Define it

maybe if that 13hp raises the whole powerband instead of being a peak at the very end

The new VFR800 is luxury and pretty

...

Everything above the number 996 looks bad except the seat material.

the CB isnt a retro and the XSR only has 5hp more.

And no for commuting and cruising the difference between 110 and 125 is nothing because you only gonna use 50 and never rev it to the redline anyways.

>hondas 2nd OK bike

First one is Transalp, I guess

Buy used first, you don't want to be stuck making payments on your first bike when you're bored with it and ready to move up to a bigger bike.

looks retarded, I personally just use a hiking backpack.

No, Goldwing, and then that new transformer concept.

>Trying to defend an obvious lack in performance this hard
It's slow
Who cares

Day to day and for spirited riding, it actually depends on where you shift and where the power is in the rev range

I ride a 600 but It's almost never south of 7k RPM.

which one of you was this
