The more I learn how to play Gwent the more it feels like a convoluted Solitaire variant. The only card people actually bother to "play around" is Gigni. Every other action in a game is so automatic it hurts

is this shit deck just designed for the monsters matchup? because the only game I won was the one game vs monsters

kick out crones and add more stuff that supports your low-STR-swarm, like Bekkers, a scorch and d-bomb/commanders honk-honk
also add an ancient faglet. I know nobody likes it, but it will protect your little faglets from scorch/Igni while they grow with Triss (they will always be some STR ahead)

Carryover is destroying me.

Say I win round 1 on even cards. My monsters opponent has 9 points of carryover, but I have silver spy.

Do I play silver spy and get out of the round, or do I bleed?

Because he just played Ekimmarad the spy then played a Nekker, so he actually had more carryover into round 3 than he had into round 2......................

It depends on your win condition. If you're running a deck that pulls out one or two big units in round 3, then you should bleed in round 2. If you're running a deck like monster swarm or axemen that requires long rounds to snowball, then you should just instant pass. If the carry over is really fucking you that badly, you can always tech against it with mardroeme, scorch, etc.

When you run Mardroeme, let's say your opponent Ekimmara's round 1 before you pass, and you're still ahead - do you mardroeme it right away, or do you mardroeme round 2?

There are a lot of ways to interact with other people board. There are key cards that can be used. You can go full combo or controlish. Factions can be used for both though NR can be used more for combo and ST for control.

Most people like combo decks and usually tryhards are the ones that play control, which is why the ladder is usually heavy control based in with their combos being snoball cards or harder to control. This is why ST control is back now and also why it is going to go up in the cancer perception.

I'm playing reveal at 3600 now. I wanna get to 3.7k for that shiny border.

Serrit destroys the mirror. Is pretty useless against Monster (unless they play Crone or something), kinda Useful against Dorfs (but lel no one plays it) and is useless against RadLad.

If he works though he is amazing. Easy 15+ value for a silver.

Depends on if I think I'm going to win the round. If so, I really don't give a shit about his carry over, especially if I have a spy in hand. If I think I'm going to lose, then I will mardroeme in round 1 and probably play the spy as well if I have it in hand.

2. Going first in round 1 means you go second in rounds 2 and 3
