my friend's dad had one of these. Bought it for $400 with over 250k miles on it. Spent 80 bucks on a new alternator and they beat the living the shit out of this truck but it kept going. Had only small electrical problem ever

Mine has a shitton of electrical problems, mainly the passenger-side window, and all of the dashboard lighting apart from the cluster and the gears.

2nd gen are decent too, definitely the best non-performance car Chrysler made this century.

Neon/PT Cruiser are great shitboxes, especially since you can get a PTGT with 5-speed for under $2k. Hell, the base PT is fucking reliable as fuck. Parts are cheap and the engines are stout af and detuned to the point that they will run forever. The auto trans is crap to drive but stout, and they are comfy and have tons of room inside.

These are so cheap because they made so many of them and they're ugly; however they're really comfortable and reliable. The parts are cheap too, they are the ultimate shitbox.

I was looking for a shitbox sub $2k for like 3 months but never had much luck. Was even looking at saturns,but pretty much completely disregarded buick.

If I could find one that was owned by someones grandma, and not some nigger then it sounds like it'd be pretty nice for the money.

2001 EM2 owner, I don't believe a word of it. My civic was pretty beat up by previous owners, and still has a fine HG 301,000 km in, and I don't hear too many people complaining of it.

Goolies with the Iron Duke are pretty nice.
