I'm thinking of giving GW2 a shot again. I played it a long time ago (like, really long) but my computer exploded shortly after I hit max level and for some reason I didn't return to it when I had a new one a while later. Well, heard back then there wasn't too much to do after max level anyhow.. but but I digress.

I'd like to check the game out again but start fresh. Was thinking necro because I really like the look of the reaper elite spec.

1. I understand that for me to become a greatsword wielding reaper, I'll have to first reach max level anyway yeah? So play as a different spec at first.

2. Would you recommend any specific EU server? I don't know how alive this game is right now and don't want to be in some ghost town.

3. Would you even recommend me going back to the game or is it dying right now?

2. Server only matters for WvW, you could check WvW rankings and join one of the better-performing servers, things are changing around because Anet recently changed the ranking system to be more dynamic.

3. It's not dying, it's like one of the most profitable western mmos still, you'll find people for everything at reasonable hours.

This is the best time to get into the game. New expac is a few months away. Game is very far from dead, don't get meme'd. If you buy expac I think you get a Max lvl boost right away, so you can immediately start working on reaper spec.
