An E28 M5 is more enjoyable to drive, more enjoyable to own, and goes up in value instead of down, seems like an obvious proposition.

err that's not an m5

yes but I cant afford it. I can only own something like a 528i but imho the only good bmw cars right now are Ms

How can anyone afford to own one if the value only goes up? Shouldn't they be worth a million dollars by now?

they look really derpy IRL, I'd rather an e34

let me summarise the replies
>reeee nooo, new things bad

this is how 99% of Veeky Forums threads read these days.
what is it with people constantly jerking themselves off to their 15yr old rustbuckets and going out of their way to shit on anything new that isn't a twingo or some other meme of the month car?

jesus christ, stop hating things just because you can't afford them.

I'll never be able to afford owning a yacht or to live in a castle, but I don't shit on nice things just because I don't have money.

not being wealthy doesnt mean you have to be pathetic, bitter fucks.

A good one is 30-40 grand now.

The thumbnail made me think of a wrecked diff

I want to drive it but I'm sure this bi-turbo V8 sings, for now the interior is pretty amazing if you ask me.

Unless I suddenly came into a massive amount of expandable income I'd never be able to afford the asking price, nor am I going to plunge myself into debt unless I had a regular source of non-contract income that was substantially more lucrative then what I earn presently.

Why isn't it a V10

Only thing I don't like is the gloss black but this wood and tan is pure sex.

You would have to ask the engineers, I'm guessing a V10 wouldn't be as efficient and would of taken up a lot more space relative to their desired form factor.

sperg more

@18270400

Absolutely disgusting console and tablet.

>this is how Bmw interpreted the concept of "luxury"

That paragraph is so fucking badly written

>engine not entirely covered by plastic
Im ok with this

>No manual
>pigfat land barge
No no and no.

what's it then? the new m550i? because personally i like this bodykit

In defense of BMW and the other manufactures to fully integrate the screen into the dash would probably add weight, complexity, and reduce visibility. Backup cameras are also now a standard safety feature for the USDM in 2018. As far as this kind of design goes I think they got it right here as well as with the i3 and i8.

Like the Miata I test drove while that screen can be a huge turnoff it is in proper line of sight for the driver and it's easy to glean information from it quickly.

I would assume the proprietary tech and all the crazy features is a major selling point for the people that can actually afford these cars and probably contributes to the margins a bit more.

If HUDs can get good (and cost effective) enough for daytime use maybe we'll see some production card that look more like Mazda's clean concept. But for now with the 2018 safety regs big screens are now a mandatory feature for that backup camera, directly as a result of side airbags and rollover protection making modern cars impossible to see out of.

An Acs5

Who came up with these t
Regulations?? 100 years the mirror works just fine but now we HAVE to have a camera? I doubt this reduces collisions at all

Can't wait for the performance figures and lap times.
I'm guessing it will do a sub 3 second 0-60 with the Competition Package

>like the new m5
Not especially

I would not
>lease or finance the new m5
Neither

I'd much rather buy a used e60 m5, add angry exhaust, and bank savings for when the VANOS needs re-VANOSing

youtu.be/jjkkSphnqmU

I came up with these t Regulations, now stop posting

thanks

why and where to inform myself completely about leasing and finance?

What do the red M1 and M2 buttons do

>yes
>maybe, I would prefer a small car for trackin
>no

>8 speed automatic only
>first ///M car not to have a manual option

Any faggot who buys this car should be shot. 'car enthusiasts car'.

Fucking asian soy boy faggots will buy these with daddys money to ensure BMW kills the manual transmission for all of time.

How viable would it be to manual swap one of these one day?
>make up custom mounts, adaptor and linkage
>rip out slushbox
>fit in spare z32 30dett 5 speed
>shove the stick through the auto shifter hole
>start it, put it in first and try to drive???

Is the error code: “tranny is no” enough to make it not work?

I love m5s, I love the way this looks and I love twin turbo v8s

First auto only M car was the E70 X5M

This dude is going to build the first ever manual amg, it can be possible
