How often do you lads get your oil changed? 7500 miles for me

How often do you lads get your oil changed? 7500 miles for me.

Every 4k miles. I have an American V8 but i use full synthetic

Twice a year regardless of miles

track and daily so every 5k km

Bout 7000 miles, supertech oil

Every 3k miles since I've been using shit filters, probably gonna up it to 4500 next one since I'll use better filters

In the nice car, every 3k-3.5k, but I use full synthetic 10w-40 that says it’s good for 5k. (Switch to 5w-40 in winter)

In the shitbox I run 15w-50 because lolleaks, and I change it every 5k. I do a coolant change every 10-15k on that because it was rusty when I got it (though I’ve flushed it all out) and I want to keep the coolant passages as open as possible.

3k 10-40 non synthetic, rotard.

Waste of oil, money and time

your opinion doesn't matter anywhere in any way.
Go get banned again for posting lewds of you and your dog.

Sperg more lmao

every 10,000km

Every 500 miles as it suggests in the manual for my driving style

How exactly are you driving lad?

When the oil I buy based on 0 scientific criteria goes on sale and/or I'm bored to death but too broke to randomly drive anywhere and I've already washed/waxed my car.

I drive short distances in obscenely dusty and cold conditions. The oil after 500 miles needs to be changed

When I get the itch to do something to my car but nothing needs doing.

Daily.

Where on earth do you live?

Alaska

This is how i ended up with a lightbar on top of my fiesta

every 7500 miles with Motorcraft synth blend, just like Ford says

Every 20k km like the manual says I should

Every 10,000 KM like the dealership maintenance service specified.

BMW 320d
5.8l of oil
Liqui moly toptec 4600
Every 10-12000 km

About every 6500-6800 miles, as I change it once per year and I don't drive any more than that

same here. it's easier to keep a set schedule than keep track of miles.

once a year when it gets its annual service

Is that stuff just a meme or is it actually good?

Actually good.

Again, what exactly are you driving? And please show the part of the manual that says that.

Toyo FR-S

Same here
Though I burn off enough oil that I basically have to top off by then

Show the part of the manual that says 500 miles

Once a year with Amsoil.

How do you burn so much oil?

I change my oil every 2000 miles or less. Since a rotary injects oil, I want it to be about as clean and new as possible. While there isn't a lot to lubricate in a rotary engine, what there is ends up being super important because of the rpm it has to handle.

4k kilometers conventional

the oil your draining is probably half gas by that point as well...

>get your oil changed

kys cuck

15,000 miles for BMW 330 - synthetic
5-7,500 for domestic - conventional

I change my oil every 3000 miles as specified by my owner's manual

full synthetic

Depends on car
5k miles on conventional in Metro
10k miles on conventional in Civic
7.5k miles on synthetic in Saab
15k miles on synthetic in ML320
10k miles on synthetic in Z3

You get the idea. Oh and I always change the filter as well

3-4K on both my cars with modular v8s. Usually do coolant and atf (spill, screen and fill) every other year.

>look at first ten answers
>nobody says every three months
>mfw i change my oil every three months

Every 8000-10.000km, including filter.
Manual recomends 15.000 km but I don't trust that claim.
I use 5W40 synthetic for it and it costs me less than 20€ per oilchange.

When my engine starts ticking, usually a sign that I've burnt enough to need a top up

Then that's just you.
Not everyone rapes their car, not everyone gets theirs up to temp, not everyone tests their brake fluid for moisture content.

Far too often than can be justified.
Usually engine oil every 3 months, steering, brake, clutch, diff and trans every year over xmas because I'm so fucking bored. If I own the car long enough, caliper, slave and master every 2 years, PS fluid if it smells.

Every 3k on conventional in my 1.6 yata , otherwise I start to get lifter tick

Bloody hydraulic lifters.
I've only ever had a tick twice, once in the middle of winter after a very gentle trip to the auto shop and again after giving her arseholes up a hill and having to slow and stop very carefully due to shit coolant route. Both less than 5 seconds after startup, though. 5w40 castrol edge.

Lol sucks.. my specialist who only works on miatas says it's not a big deal and everyone has different approaches to it. Mine just happens when I'm low on oil.

Most fixes tend to be just overfilling by half a quart, running thinner or even thicker oil. Sometimes even replacing the head doesn't fix it Woe betides us.

5,000 miles, give or take a few hundred.

Mobil 1 5w-30 Full Synthetic

whenever i start to here a knocking, clattering and a howling coming from the engine compartment.
its easy, ya just gotta know how to listen to your car

Bit late by then, isn't it?
Like waiting till you're thirsty in a marathon.

I've been doing this for the past two years and it saves a lot of headache. I average around 2 oil changes a year anyway.

When it starts to look shitty on the dipstick

Ditto. That turns out to be about once a month, sometimes twice.

Every 6 months, about 7-8K between changes.

VW 505.1 here, usually Quantum

How can you be so sure without UOA? Are you one of those "think they know all" faggots?

I used to do every 5,000km on my old ford f-150 but in my 2014 ram 1500 I go 8,000km, owners manual says it should be 15,000 km

I drive about 10k miles a year and I do it twice a year so every 5k miles usually. I mainly do it once before summer and once before winter

8000 - 10,000 km

Yep. I'm overdue on my truck, but oh well.

I change my oil every 5000km because i like my engine.

5k full synthetic. A little expensive but I drive a 5.7 V8 so I kind of have to

What kind of car destroys full synthetic oil after 3k miles?
I would like to know.

what car?

Civic with a few simple mods... mostly heavy valve damage, but mods nonetheless

waste. no called maintenance bud keeps em going

It's excessive maintenance aka waste

>excessive maintenance
no such thing.

i changed it after about 30k miles and it was clear that i didn't need to.

He's right but a faggot about making his point

every 3k miles or less, full synthetic only. Call me autistic but my driving habits and conditions are pretty hard on the car and the oil usually looks like it needs to be changed when I do change it. At least it doesn't burn any oil :^)

>>excessive maintenance
>no such thing.
Of course there is, are you fucking stupid?

>VY Commodore
Every 10,000km. I'm overdue at the moment, but I'll probably do it tomorrow
>CB400
Every 6,000km. I tried Motol to see if was a meme, but the bike actually runs noticeably better on it. Too bad it's $25/liter

Honestly I think I'm gonna start doing this. thanks user

you clearly don't understand why you change your oil in the first place if you do this.

>Of course there is, are you fucking stupid?

not that guy but there really isn't. Ever wonder how there are still cars around from the 40's and 50's? Its because someone maintained them like it was a religion.

This, my pa would pull the engine in his torana apart and clean it once a week, that thing still looks brand new inside the engine and it is a 1972 car.

thats an insane amount of money spent on gasket replacements... so wasteful

Got a pic of this?

>Toptec

i've had an oil leak for about 3 years now. i just change the filter once a year and keep it topped off.

5k miles with full synthetic royal purple 5w-20

What other fluids should be changed tho ? I know you should flush differential fluids eventually as well...and coolant...and blinker fluid ofc

cars are inherently a waste of money

I'm running about 30,000 miles on my oil change at the mo. I'm so lazy

>get your oil changed

"Hey Bob watch me tighten this drain plug with the air gun, don't worry it has a torque stick on it!"

Your pa is retarded, sorry bro. Seems like you inherited some of it

>loses control at 10mph

9,000 miles with this

I put a quart I every thousand miles, weather it needs it or not. And I do a drain and filter every once in a while, probably 3-4 months

>Someone out there is changing his synthetic oil once a month
>All that pointless waste

Catching some frauding krauts wont save us from the stupidity of the common man.

>A little expensive but I drive a 5.7 V8 so I kind of have to

No you don't, what the fuck is wrong with you.

does it really matter? change it every 1000 miles if you want to the more frequent the better. as long as you're not going over the recommended mileage like a retard.

>get your oil changed
>get
work on your own car, you waste of organs.

my old shitwagon leaks/burns oil enough where I only change the filter once a year. otherwise, my job supplies me with a constant stream of new oil to top-off when needed.

and his pa will be driving his 50's car past your broken 2000's shitheap

you sound like my Asian mother in law. its only a waste if you don't enjoy it and if it does no good. obviously its satisfying both requirements for "not wasteful"

so your telling a guy to change his oil... when you cant even be bothered to change a filter or the oil... k
