I bought a fiesta st and I want my blow off turbo psshh sound.
The stock airbox does not do this. I heard the stock box is very good at bringing in cool air at speed, but it has no sound. The aftermarket intakes all let in hot air but sound amazing.
Other than cutting holes into the stock airbox like forums have suggested, is there any way to hear the pssh??

just go pshh with your mouth every time you let off the gas, it will be louder that way and easier

I heard that too that the 2j racing intake is extremely loud. I'm gonna be daily driving it and thought the cobb one had the best location to not get as much heat as other intakes. And hopefully doesn't drone.

Are you kidding me? The blowoff noise in my fist is already loud as fuck.

just get a BOV and tune, the stock intake is pretty good and you don't want to lose power just to get turbo noises

I have this on my ST, its fun and loud.
November 30, 2017 - 06:16
this is how you get that for real but like this user said () make sure you tune it, bov isn't good for recirc cars without tuning for it

Tfw buy gti hoping it would have cool turbo blow off psssshhhh sound but low key knowing it probably wouldn’t
Mfw it does

That's pretty cool. So it's just an adaptor, so I wouldn't have to tune for it, right?
You must have aftermarket parts.
You're right, I want cool noises and performance which is why I want the stock airbox with a good filter.

Hey op just for you (or other turbo ricers lurking) here's a rating from least to most pshhh
>stock airbox, stock bpv >silicone intake, stock bpv >aluminum intake, stock bpv >stock box, bov >silicone intake, bov >aluminum intake, bov
With any bov (or bpv to bov adapter) you need to tune. bov=blowoff valve, bpv=bypass valve

>buying a new econobox kys. should've just gotten a civic for 3k or something actually good for your 20k.
November 30, 2017 - 10:48
how else are you going to be able to afford to buy his econobox 10 years from now if he doesn't buy it?
November 30, 2017 - 10:49
Can confirm, the blowoff is definitely there and you can hear it
November 30, 2017 - 10:52
why would i want a shitty economy car? my car is already faster than a fiesta st.
November 30, 2017 - 10:57
let me guess, a 3k civic with a few simple mods?
November 30, 2017 - 11:26
Why don't you just make the noises yourself?
