Why aren't there multiple reverse gears? What if I want to go faster?

Why aren't there multiple reverse gears? What if I want to go faster?

Just turn around

Then sucks to be you

>What if I want to go faster?

Three point turn.

do a 360 degree turn and drive away

buy a cvt

full speed in reverse

So you're saying there's no reason why anyone would want to go faster in reverse? No possible reason at all?

Install your differential umop apisdn

>Why aren't there multiple reverse gears?

? it's called fwd

Panthers can do 40+mph in reverse.

What if I need to go faster than that?

then turn around

Cars are inherently unstable while going in reverse at high speeds. Try pushing your shopping car backwards next time you're at the store.

None.

There are. It's called a Mercedes. Now fuck off with your shit bait.

this
CVT is actually the best transmission type because you can hit top speed in reverse, and you can always be at peak power when accelerating.
its a little known fact really.

Some people can barely drive going forwards.... Let alone back up. Do we really need them to be going faster user?

this

do a j-turn, it'll net you 85 badass points too

lost

I find most reverse gears too tall.

Doesn't mean shit to you flat land dwellers but when you have to use reverse when your ass is pointing up steep hills with a vehicle full of shit (happens more than you think) you can smell the clutch getting a haircut and flywheel getting a nice polish

I saw a video recently of a guy testing how fast a p71 can go in reverse. Apparently it's 60-67ish mph depending on what rear diff you have. I'd think all old 3&4 speed auto shitboxes with long ass gears would be able to do that kinda thing.
