6k. Jealous?
red line is around 8k usually shift at 7600 rpm. guess my engine, hint its not a 4 cylinder
7200
I dont like doing it tho
OP pic related, 7.5k.
6.2e+3 rotations every sixty seconds
13,000
God bless motorcycles
I don't know.
And yes it's a manual.
[eats headgaskets internally]
6k appears to be the max, but I am not sure if its even possible
Rarely ever a point to take it beyond 3500, or even 3000 unless overtaking
guess the car
Ar Ekkusu Eitto
Moar liek eats oil.
A healthy 7200rpm
Seems to be Hondas go-to RPM
yeah a lot of shitboxes had no tach and manual tranny.
mazda 3 its a cost option
Subaru Toyota 86 BRZ edition

7k, can't bang on limiter (JDM fuel cut hard and harsh limiter) because it jerks car so much (AWD) that engine mounts are like "Fuck you and have a nice day, cu later"
He said car bike fag, your squealer isn’t impressing anyone

thanks gm

i d-don’t know....
Jesus christ, how old is that Camry? I thought mine looked ancient inside.

8.2k stock. I'll probably be raising it to 8.6k soon though

Thank you Honda
Redline at 6.7k
Pretty sad
...
It’ll impress the grills more than your rusted out Miata
27 years old, from 1990.
Fuel cut off at 6250 rpm, but there's no reason to go over 5500 (as the tachometer shows with a yellow line).
4700
Checked though
Where's the tachometer in this thing? I just bought this car last week and I'm unfamiliar with it.
Turbo s2k
redline is 6500, but idk why it goes beyond that up to 6800. want to change it to 7.2k in the future
dam son them aesthetics, what car?
i wish, its a v8
6.5k
the rx-8 shows the redline higher

8100 sets off a warning a warning buzzer, and I've heard it plenty of times.
Blacktop Levin I wish, but probably just a Corolla XRS 2ZZ
6.3k rpm F22A6 engine. Valve float happens around 6,930rpm

>2.9L M20 stroker

Is it worth it to go from Celica to Fiesta ST Veeky Forums?
How about turning your high rpm shitbox? It'll be a lot cheaper and boosted 2ZZ make a damn good amount of power when done right
4.2k redline.
>mfw injection begins at 50° BTDC after 4k RPM
*turboing
9500
7.2k
Will probably get ktuner for 7.6k. I have a 5AT but the higher redline should help the car stay in vtec upon shift (5k+).
Correct
>13k
>impressive
Mechanically limited to 3200rpm...
Buuuuut, I can cruise around at 1,000 rpm no prob
My bike revs to 16,500 though
only 7k ...
6400 rpm
>another XRS on Veeky Forums
hell yeah
8.2k on my Matrix XRS as well
...
The 2ZZ probably feels terrible in that heavy car.
Its still is pretty weak in my lighter Celica...
Pretty good power output for a sub-2 litre engine.
I had a Mazda3 GT w/ a 2.3L I4 and it put out 160hp, moved quite well with a 5 speed.
The XRS is pretty quick with the manual. Probably faster than your Celica 2bh mate.
>heavy
Its not THAT heavy. Heavier than other hatchbacks of the same year sure.
More weight just means I get more of an excuse to wind out the gears to accelerate.
>Pretty good power output for a sub-2 litre engine.
Awful torque tho.
AIN'T NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT NIGGA
REV UP THAT ENGINE
Does it have a rev limiter? My Mazda3 didn't, it just cut off the fuel to the engine if you redlined it for like 3 seconds or more.
I guess. I have no idea what the difference is. Usually when I take it to redline I only let it bounce a few times and then shift down. If you notice on the dash pic the car has 182k (more now) miles on it so I try to treat it fairly nicely. I'm sure I'll make it past 200k but a lot of the forum posts I've seen set the life expectancy at 160k or so and I just bought this in August. I have no idea what the previous owner(s) did to this car before it was sold to me.
Though one thing that does ease my nerves is that the car was impeccably clean inside and out before I got it so I can assume the last person took decent care of it.
>let it bounce a few times
>before shifting DOWN
Jesus Christ nigga what are you doing.
I meant up. I have to money shift completely. I've come close a few times but I realized quickly enough and put it in neutral before I blew anything up
Fuck me with all these errors.
My whole life is an error
Remember, if you panic just stomp the clutch in.
Or just smash the shifter to mystery shift for extra fun.
>How much can your car rev up to?
>DOHC
>variable valve timing
>no hydraulic lifters
>71mm bore
>84mm stroke
>forged conecting rods
>tubular, equal length exaust header
>micro grooved bearings
Sounds like high rpm does it?
Well, it doesn´t.
Rev limiter is at 6400 rpm, seems to be understressed as fuck.
6k I think? I don't hit anything above 5500, and that's pretty rare because high revving this car like a dumbass ends with a blown headgasket
Honestly 0 right now because the 30 year old sensor finally shit the bed and now i have no reading :(
5k I guess, I don't remember the last time I redlined

If they we're flipped it would be a high revving motor

what car?
You really need to swap a LX9 or either the LZ4/9 with an F40 trans
7200
soon, 8400
84 mm is already a low enough stroke for a high reving engine, like for example the 9000 rpm f20c.
Super Duty 6.0 nigger
Yeah, but I'm talking about the discrepancy between a 71mm bore vs a 84mm stroke
B18Cs are under square yet rev to the Moon and back, but the one is within 10mm of the stroke
A perfectly square motor like the 2JZ can review to the Moon and back as well if the valvetrain is reinforced
you do know that higher rpms=!more power
In fact, just the opposite
The point is, that my average piston speed at maximum rpm is still verry low and leaves room for another 2600 rpm.
These small valves are also good for high rpm due to their low inertia.
9,000

Love it
Yeah, but with that high stroke would the cylinders even be able to take it? Do you plan on boring it out to make it a little less under square?
> would the cylinders even be able to take it?
The cylinders are no issue for the rpm, structuraly as well as lubricant wise.
Neither should be the pistons.
>boring it out to make it a little less under square
No, I plan on selling that car in favour of a Maluch as a DD and a 924 as a project.
I know I should have asked this from the beginning but what car are we speaking of lol
Hard case of econobox...
Which one though? It was never mentioned
>having head gaskets that don't piss everywhere 99% of the time
le mayo
7k is when the shiftup light and buzzer comes on
there is no limiter. still have to paint the needles with some uv paint since they ren't lit.
