What's more fun? RWD/4WD sedan/wagon or FWD hot hatchback?

What's more fun? RWD/4WD sedan/wagon or FWD hot hatchback?

Bump

Make an educated guess. Protip: pic related to correct answer.

Really hard for me to tell if that's a hot hatchback or a sedan/wagon with quattro

A3 has shittier interior, it's missing those "walls" from the center console and IIRC the gauges look different too

Yeah.. I see it now. Which one is it? Is it a6 quattro?

Nice dubs

A4, but A6 and A4 interior is pretty identical anyway

Depends innit
Original Mini was GOAT yet fwd now has shite like corolla
RWD sedan has a lot of good things yet involves ladas as well

AWD Coupe

small petrol powered shitbox, they are usually fwd
nothing is more fun that beating the shit out of lolnopower shitbox

>audisteer

4WD hatchback

AMG Wagon

Depends if you have friends or not.

It's based on opinion and personal preference?

It all depends on what's readily available; for instance you could probably pick up a sporty twincam FWD (like a Honda or something) for the sort of money that would only get you a dirty old pushrod FR.

Gotta really weight those pros and cons......

just depends in the snow awd drive is more fun in the dry/wet rwd is more fun. Speed is a different answer

oh god this post reminded me I saw an 80's escort for $500 near me. I didn't even think they existed here. But it looked like the most basic poverty tier trim and i'm not sure it would be fun.

If it's RWD buy it.
Buy two if you can.

lightweight is fun, but rwd is also fun. truth is, anything will be fun enough when you take it to the track.

i think i'd go with hot hatch, car is bound to be more fun if it's designed specifically to be fun. it's not that obvious of a choice though, some kind of e46 sound super fun, even if it's heavy and meant to be a semi-luxury vehicle

FWD and awd same shit understeer city, on pavement it doesn't really matter which you have cept for launches if you have power like that.

RWD is great for street, awd is good for low traction situations, fwd is just lighter and cheaper than all of the above so it's popular.

FWD Hot Hatch is more fun to me, but RWD can be fun too.

personal preference, really.

understeer/oversteer dynamics is literally a product of weight distribution and suspension setup. no one should listen to you anyway because you spun a fucking volvo going 3 miles an hour

Obviously yeah, I can rotate my festiva easy as shit because I have stiff as fuck springs in the back, I'm talking about while applying power.
Apply power in a turn with fwd or awd, then apply power in a turn with rwd.

You can flick a fwd car and cause an oversteer, no fucking shit, I do it every damn day when I leave my house and hit the round abouts, you can rotate any damn car even without applying power, that video where I spun out in the Volvo I had no power at all being applied.
I spun out because I turned while braking hard as shit and it transfered all the weight forwards.
