Wangan midnight gets really boring. They go in depth with the mods of the cars, but its like it has no substance. Initial D was a mich better written show.

Apparently there's a car manga, Shakotan Boogie, that predates both Initial D and Wangan Midnight that appears to be about slammed and stanced cars. It even got an anime adaptation (though apparently only four episodes), and said adaptation is hard to find any information on. Has Veeky Forums had any experience with this particular manga?

the cars are shakotan style emulating real race cars, not stanced.
