Any form of entry level motorsport in Aus is waaaaaay too expensive.... I do however have a block of land out in the bush with a little rally track on it and a bunch of old bomb cars.

I'm trying to sign up for a track day this Saturday at The Ridge in WA. Have some conflicting info so I called and emailed the guy in charge of the track day. It's ~$200 for 7 20 min sessions, plus helmet rental.

No goals really, I'm about to move to a country where I can't bring my car, so I just want to get in some track time before we part for a while.

I go to a track close by to me to auto cross. I have a CTS-V but everyone says it's too big of a car, plus being a daily it was abusive to it. So I bought this Supercharged MR2 for it.

Estonia, time attack.
Last year was my first ever season, and I did it with a car that had jello suspension and cornering ability limited by the wheel hitting the wheel arch and accelaration limited by clutch not disconnecting and locking up gearbox at around 5k rpm, or just before power band.
I managed to come to second to second to last in my class which is the toughest one (seeing as class above I would've been around upper middle)
Now I want at least a podium in my class on one track and cut off 20 seconds off my time on the big track

I do.

Waiting for some parts to come.

same my man. I need clutches, flywheels, end links, some lightweight parts and I'm ready for summer
MRS a time attack god machine especially here where the tracks are tight and twisty

>I do however have a block of land out in the bush with a little rally track on it
Fuck yeah

You should look into regularities, you'd be surprised.

Get a FIAT 124 AC ready
>For next year

w-wait this isnt my tractorgini

>amature

>TFW really need to get to a road course if I'm going to get any better without high risk of crashing
>most of then time I can pick up will come from learning to brake harder and later
>live on Kentucky and the only real race track is in Lexington Ohio, by Columbus.
Traders world has autocross but not until summer. Hold me lads

That's a really good price actually. I usually pay $225 for 6 20 minute sessions at Road Atlanta

I figured no one here does anything even semiprofessionally.

>Old Mini's and Escorts

That's a wonderful picture. Really nice.

My issue is with the spelling.

Yeah, I bought track tickets for my small local track this week. 5x15 minutes for 70 € but that's just for random days. Going to book a weekend or two later when I've got my new job all lined up.
Gonna ride the wheels off my little CB again, just hope I don't cook the brake fluid again... Trips into the gravel at 100 are NOT fun.
My main objective this year is to not be the slowest person around the track. That was easy during the licensing course since it was full of noobs and old people (albeit all of them on liters, except for a CBF 500 and an NC750) but I got absolutely rekt by the regulars.

Yeah that class is called Tin Tops and it had that day
>Escorts
>Minis
>Cortinas
>Toranas
>A Studebaker Lark
>A Datsun 1600
>A Ford Capri
>EH Holden
>2 Mk2 Jaguars
>I think an FJ Holden, not 100% it was an FJ though
>A FIAT 131
>And the Yellow FIAT 125 I was driving
And all that was run on a closed street circuit, through a town, pretty unique event.

Yea, it was about $350 per day for 5 sessions at Laguna Seca, plus helmet rental.

Oh shit no way, I race at the ridge too. I'm not doing this saturday though because fuck that, I'll wait til its warmer

Nice, I've never been but someone I worked with said it was an awesome track. I spoke to the guy that's running the show tomorrow and I'm all signed up, so I'll be there the whole day and the weather is supposed to be good last I checked.

It's a good track. Take the track walk, you wont regret it. That track is a doozy un-prepared

Seems pretty cool with the elevation changes and whatnot. That front straight looks long as hell too so kinda interested to see how fast I can get going. Was up to ~140 or so at Laguna Seca but that straight has a slight bend in it and isn't nearly as long.
