Are "muscle cars" with <V8 even worth it?

Are "muscle cars" with

> 6 CYLINDER MOTOT - BETTER ON GAS
Can't you read? they're better on gas so it's actually better than a v8.

What is it? 13 instead of 12?

Sometimes but not the mustang the engine in that thing is trash. Mopar sixes were good.

Depending on car, as long as you have a frame and a VIN it doesn't matter what engine it comes with because the aftermarket is so fucking big you can practically build an entirely new car just from Amazon, RockAuto and Google.

How much is a chassis/frame in good condition worth without a numbers matching drive train?

No. The whole point of a muscle car is to have a big engine. If you want fuel efficiency buy a fucking civic.

muscle cars with v8 arent even worth it

a Mustang isnt a fucking muscle car either

Don't "muscle" cars with a 350 trigger americans as well?

Would the shell in good condition be worth it if you planned to swap out the drivetrain later?

>Are "muscle cars" with

thing is its an old car that will be completely shit compared to anything more modern and thats what makes it not worth it for the price youre going to be paying

Which cars?

Its not a muscle car if if doesn't have a large displacement V8. Besides the fact that the First gen Mustang and Camaro were colloquially know as pony cars....

The Regal GNX is objectively the best car to ever come out of America.

> 6 CYLINDER MOTOT - BETTER ON GAS

>buying a shitstang
>being concerned about gas consumption on said shitstang
>11k for a fucking shit mustang
LMAO FUCKING BOOMERS

For an old mustang, like 6k for a great condition with a V8.
Not kidding, in virginia you can get a 4 speed manual BOSS cobra or whatever the fuck it is old mustang V8 for under 8k easily.

The only expensive mustang is the mach 1, or the very first year models.

The 289 inline 6 in old mustangs are bullet proof. They aren’t fast, but you won’t have any problems doing highway speeds.

I owned a 68 coupe with one in it, was fun to drive, just don’t confuse it with a sports car.

>289 inline 6

wut

you mean 200 right

Nope.
And those 6 cylinders aren't good enough on gas to make up for being so slow.

Jesus fuck, where do I start with this thread...
#1) they were pilling in 25-27mpg in the 60's. They're about 2,600 pound cars, not the pigfat 3,500+ that mustangs are today.
#2) you're not getting a boss for 8k, neither the 302 or the 429 version. 429 boss, in pieces will sell for $100,00. Restored is around $250,000.
#3) there's an ass load of models. California special. GT350. KR. Models with the drag pack option just added $50,000 to their current value.
#4) 289 is a small block Windsor V8
#5) mustang is a pony car, not a muscle car. Muscle cars are full size (galaxy, Torino etc). Pony class is mid size.

>Muscle cars are full size
This is incorrect, not sure where this meme started.

>Craigslist ad
>"NO LOW BALLS
>Absolutely no, NO pictures of the engine bay
>Allcaps throughout ad

Fucking boomers

This guy knows his shit
Muscle cars a mid-sized sedan, with a large cube engine, and 2 doors. pony cars don't need a big engine or large interiors.

>Sedan
>2 Doors

Pick one

>289 is a small block Windsor V8
While you're factually correct, I fail to see how it pertains to the craigslist ad for a fucking 6cyl mustang.
Far as I'm concerned, V8 or die.

Swap in a rb26 like tokyo drift and get better fuel econ

289 wasn't available in 67 nigger, they moved onto the 302 by then.

>he fell for the new car meme
Lmao
