If you had to buy a new car, what would it be? Let's call it a $30k budget.

Toyota 86

does it have to be new, or "new to me" new?

if I can buy used, I want an rolling shell FD rx7 which I fill the rest of the budget with fitting a 3 rotor (3 rotor engines are about $7k near me)

if new, idk, a golf gti or something. There aren't really any cars out right now that appeal to me. Maybe the miata but I already have an NA

evo x

Fiata Abarth.

None, id buy a 2006 hsv gto if i had 30k to just waste on a car.
at least that is going to go up in value in the next 20 years.

qt

nothing. everything new under 30k is shit.

think you can get a v6 camaro under that, for like base ass model
and their v6 is pretty good sounding

mazda mx 5

MSRP 36k

I think Ford Fiesta would be best for $30 000
>Quite big compared to other choices
>Somewhat ""sporty""

New car for 30K is seriously bad choice tho as it loses value so fast and I wouldn't do it I had a choice. I would rather get used M3 for 30K or just 5 years old Legacy STI with all the gismos

not if you give the dealer a little something something under table
if not then fist

Is Fiat still Fix It Again Tony tier?
the Abarth seems like fun.

FoST.

I'm cross shopping ND/86/Si.

I'd ride your mom around town and pocket 29999.50

The Fiata is very reliable from what you can find. Mechanicals by Mazda (solid, easy to get parts), one of Fiat’s most reliable engines to date, and iirc the older Mazda trans which is super stout.
The only issues I know of was that some of the first production run for the US had faulty thermostats, but they all were fixed within 2500miles iirc. My uncle DDs one and has had no issues in the 30k miles he has had it.

Modern cars are bloated on the outside and tiny on the inside. No thanks. I'll take a double cab Silverado V8.

370z and then id immediately swap the lsd

...

Crew cab silverados are stupid cheap right now

Certainly not that piece of shit

124 Abarth

>not a crew cab
I don't even know what they call this

30k, so does that include sales tax/VAT? Because if it does I'm pretty fucked.

>30k

lol so what, we talking strictly Corollas and shit?

...

Yeah but I can't fucking stand crew cabs unless they're used as family haulers. It's bad enough GM got rid of the extended cab Silverado's and you're now stuck with 4 doors.

It's a double cab. It replaced the extended cab.

Came here to post this.

Jetta GLI is a close second.
