How can we get rid of Gogem?

Just don't respond to him, at all.

cmon user, do you really think this will happen. gogem can only be removed by force.

>thread with googum
>googum shitposting
>thread without googum
>engine wars and other shitposting that is literally just as bad

There is no victory condition here.

Thread with waifu games is the victory condition

When googum is not googeming he's godoting

I think if we actually sticked to it, it could actually work. Same with any other type of trashposting, but I know we just can't help ourselves sometimes.

Amen

I'm cooking up a waifu demon game as we speak.

How did we get rid of sourcefam?

post his pictures and remind him, he's a 30yo virgin without a dad

Comics with stories set around different generations inspire me, like Billy Bat or JJBA

Is there any games that does the same thing? so you can play as a character, then his son etc

I can't think of games but I can think of series that do this, like Castlevania.

Fuck you, waifudevs. You disgust me. Find some integrity, will you. You're literally no more advanced than 12 year olds.

The only people who think waifudevs are bad are people with bad progress who don't get replies and think the reason for this is that the waifus are taking their replies from them.

I get a ton of replies, bro. And my games actually have more to them than a single piece of ass.

Why have integrity when you can have free r34 and patreonbux?

You people are so predictable. OK, wiyg?

Now you tell me you can't post your game because ___________

Because when you lose integrity, you start down the slippery slope of either just becoming a furry porn artist, or worse, someone like Gogem.

8th for thicc

If only Gogem made waifu games, maybe he wouldn't be such a shitter. People like Gogem are a whole nother beast, don't bunch us together with them.

there was some ruglife-lite that did this.
no idea what it was called but each playthrough was a child of the previous or something.

Yeah fucking right, I'm gonna post my shit when I'm shit-talking. I'm not gogem and don't ever want to be.
I guess I just haven't descended so far into failure that I'm no longer human who inceracts with other humans.

>I'm no longer human who inceracts with other humans.
Were you ever human to begin with?

Looks good, but for some reason it has this "rotoscoped" look to it

cool, what kind of game is this gonna b

UE question. I can't set custom categories for variables. I write the name instead of default, but it just stares to me until I compile. Then it turns to default again.

Where am I messing it up?

just a picture from my folder, not for me or done by me

does googum ever sleep?

oh cool
ill post some inspo too

where are you from

europe. it doesn't seem to matter whether I'm checking in the middle of the day or late at night or in the morning, fucker's always there.

I wonder if artists who make those mock-ups ever get frustrated that they're just mock-ups that won't ever become real game, like I get frustrated with my placeholder art prototypes.

...

>inspo
>from a non-existent game

cant wait for marmoreal release

Thanks for reminding me I have to finish reading Billy Bat
How's the ending? Does it hold up with the rest of the manga? No spoilers pls

is this pic related to the world of horror game? has that same retro horror feel but doesnt look quite the same

Preach.

...

The box is finicky, you need to enter a category name and then hit enter and click a certain way

it's stupid but it does work

don't let the unityfags know our secrets

>41 posts in this thread
>see only 20

Thank god for filters. I can't imagine how bad it must be.

incredible engine :---DDDD

I just released my first game. Finally, I'm a yesdev.
It's a simple endless runner though. On to bigger and better things now.

congratulations user

glory and virgins await you

>releasing your first game
this is why the second crash is inevitable

Name 1 (one) commercially succesful game from this shithole

w-what the fuck do you mean?

homph.com/steam/

>not releasing your work into the wild for the internet to archive your history for later generations
You can release stuff for free.

...

This kind of shitpost would be much more efficient if it wasn't answered in the OP.

>SIT still on there
update it already

Are the Risk of rain guys multi-millionaires?

Thanks. I got it.
For reference, it's type the name, Enter, then click in the graph window.

This shit is silly. They're getting out of the category again. wtf?

You're not allowed to get inspiration unless the game exists?

You're setting up yourself for unrealistic expectations.

LEAVE NOPAN-CHAN ALONE

So I have a game idea that's been floating around my head but it requires online multiplayer. Where would I start if I wanted to learn how to do networking?

I'm probably gonna use C#/Monogame btw.

It is free.

if daily flood of cheap pajeetjobs from every single corner of the world that are bordering on copyright infringement and redditors' "my first game in android studio that will catch on and make millions :)" titles didn't crash the mobile market, nothing will

If that's the case then you shouldn't get inspiration from any game whose quality is above your ability. Since you'll be setting yourself up for unrealistic expectations.

does your game has class diagram? How to make one? It looks very professional work.

not really

>I'm probably gonna use C#/Monogame btw.
Kill yourself

Try to make the game offline first.

>biggest advantage indie devs have is that they can innovate and use themes the A(AA) studios don't dare to touch
>"IMMA MAKE A FANTASY ARR-PEE-GEE WITH ELVES AND DU-WARF-UES AND ORCS"

*teleports behind you*

That's not the point. Not even an AAA studio could make .

Name one innovative idea.

I'm glad you didn't quit while getting bullied a while back

replacing elves and dwarves and orcs with anime counterparts doesn't suddenly make a game revolutionary and original

when have i ever been bullied here

Rock paper scissors multiplayer game

when everyone called it a shitty journey clone

Are you joking? There's a lot of RPGs that look similar to that.

...

people still call it a shitty journey clone
just looks like bad breath of fire

As an almost-former ideaguy, I get frustrated I have ideas I can't make so I imagine it's the all the same.

You could use the SFML networking module if there's a binding for C#. It also has a simple multithreading module (You'll have to use multithreading if your game is not turn based).

Two games.

one game that is actually two different games

where do you get your motivation/inspiration from?

Who /wish they could art/ here?

I've been working with shitty placeholders and terrible drawing attemps for a while now. My code is getting fresh, and I've almost finished all my TBC mechanics, but I really want it to look good. What are your experiences with Fiverr and other artists? Looking to dump $1k into one, or is it better to sample different ones first?

This. And for just one game in the series that did that check Mirror of Fate. You get to play as a character (for a small intro though), his son and his grandson in that game.

>themes
>themes
>themes

Can you read nigger?
You're talking about characters. Those aren't themes.

Anything besides the standard video game cliche's which have been done to death. Read a book.

Tell me what the hell is Unreal Engine doing here. Numbers literally don't add up.

Typically no. Good artists make mock ups for everything. From character design to environments. Throwing away old drawings is very common. Sure sometimes you might make something really cool and it's disappointing not to see it in a game, but at least you learned from it and can make something else better.

I take it back. I hadn't made it to the next step.

Sorry for being stupid. I'm working on it. Kind of...

>books
>creative

go outside. you can't get original ideas for media from other media

How about innovation through gameplay? Who gives a shit if the races in your game are elves + dwarfs or space elves + space dwarfs or shadow elfs + shadow dwarfs or whatever else "original" things you come up with. Theme is something for AA studios to care about, since they have enough money for assets to build their game around that theme. As an indie dev you should aim for unorthodox or niche gameplay.

I feel old when playing games with random teenagers and I feel I don't belong there, but I love vidya. Game journalism was my first escape, I grew bored of it, so now I make games noone will play.

>animefag idolizing books because he never reads
poetry

resolution looks NES/famicom but the colors don't.
probably a mockup trying to look like an old famicom adventure game?

Nice projection

Do you make your own music?

do you make "your own" music using someone elses scales, chords and keys?

No, I steal it from /mu/ idiots in their /mix/ threads.
