i think it depends. if they're going battle engie they're about as good as a scout, just not as fast. kritz goes well with widowmaker, but getting those two together isn't exactly common.

bazaar bargain isn't a crutch, it's a direct upgrade after you get a few headshots.

Who needs a shotgun when you can just pop them into the air mid-charge with a well-timed rocket?

Demoman is one of the few classes that work best with stock, Demoknight is completely useless unless you get caught by one in a corner. Like seriously, you see one from afar, even with one of the shields, just shot them a bit and you'll either kill them or make them flee.

what if the grenade launcher is buffed, and then stickies nerfed? Valve has nerfed stickies many times, wouldn't be surprised if they outright gouged it.
GL+ chargentarge shield can be good, explosive resistance is strong, and you can chase kills in close quarters

I feel like the spook specs are one of the few soldier hats that aren't like his default(covers his eyes, dome shape} that actually works with other cosmetics. I love playing the guy but a lot of his hats just don't appeal to me.
