So like my understanding of it is Chaledea is like japanese cern looking at the future through some satellites bending light around the sun or something, the future disappears so they decide to send a bunch of wizards to the past to fuki which is where the timeline diverged or something .

The player character is some kid with magical aptitude for their timetravel stargate (which apparently most people are not eligible for) and then he shows up, and... then shit goes down, and Mashu gets bonded with a heroic spirit or some shit.

What the hell was Mash doing there in the first place? What's her 'job' at chaldea before the game starts?
