This car looks ridiculously better when you remove the rear spoiler and add one on the front.

bonus rear wiper

these were also spoiler-free from the factory

This thread is a peek into another universe where
wings doesn't exist. It seem terrible.

Thread specified "usually"

That still has a spoiler.

Post.

If the stock spoiler was half the size it might look great

looks much better without, and it's better aerodynamically.

these actually look good

no shit sherlock, every car has lower drag without a spoiler. that's the fucking point of a spoiler, to create downward force on the back of the car.

some cars actually get better drag from spoilers because the rear is too steep and airflow detaches, which is why they make a difference on old porsche 911's, audi TT's and most sedans, amoung others.

I like it. Makes cars look a lot sleekier and more luxurious.

Pretty sure Zondas would look gimped without a spoiler

these all look like Cadillacs now

Spoilers are intended to improve aerodymic coefficient. They spoil the airflow, creating a smoother flow from the roof line, especially on sedans and coupes that taper off sharply. You could also do this with a fastback-style design, but sometimes that's just not possible. You fix that by using a spoiler, which removes drag.

What you're thinking of are wings. Wings are aerodynamic bits that are designed to take incoming wind and deflect it upwards, creating downforce. You can have front and rear wings, and wings generally make the aerodynamic coefficient of a vehicle a lot worse, often severely hampering top speed and fuel economy. However, downforce is worth seconds in racing.

Most road cars have spoilers, not wings.

these should all be illegal. if you disagree kill yourself
