Not that I know of. The most I've heard him say about the franchise, aside from the SA2 review, is that he's just not very fond of the games. Now, Projared has done some stupid things, like give Bioshock Infinite a very high score, so user may just be upset over something like that.

it was art done by layeyes when he and i were throwing around ideas for a sonic webcomic that didn't get off the ground. it's a pleasant time to look back on.

Well Geoffory got axed just around when he was starting to become something resembling a real character.
It was a bit of a dissapointment since it looked like they were actually going to do something with him.

i liked to post art from it here to hear what people thought about it or story ideas sometimes, but i don't know if layeyes himself actually visited this general ever.

i would mess with redesigns during my breaks at work back then and would field them here sometimes for feedback.

I think a reboot is inevitable, but what content gets to stay is still up in the air.

I don't think that is very likely. It seems like a new publisher with a new team would want to start their own continuity, especially considering how much legal stuff is tied to the old one even though Archie purged all of Pender's stuff. But I would also really rather it just be a continuation of the same universe with the same characters and stories if that is a possibility. And thanks for the tits.

I agree with what you said, but I think Penders of all people also had a good point: the Archie stuff (characters, lore, etc) is a resource. It's the reason people bought the product and it's worth money. If there's a chance for them to use it, maybe they would. I don't really know shit about comics but taking that and using it sounds like an easier way to make a succesful product than starting something from scratch and trying out new things that people may or may not be interested in.

Of course Penders was talking about his stuff, but the point is valid when put like this.

all we really put together for sonic stuff was a pile of basic character (re)designs and sketchy boards, we were kind of stretching ourselves thin at the time and didn't make a ton of serious progress.
