There will not be a great increase in jobs from the trump administration. Trump's infrastructure spending, if planned correctly, will have a stimulating affect on the economy.

But manufacturing jobs will not be returning in the numbers that the average trump supporter is predicting. And really how could they? The more investment into american production will only increase the value of the dollar. This increase will prevent us from remaining competitive in the global market.

Also trumps traiffs are going to raise prices on consumer goods. Retailers are already going against Trump, becuase they operate on razor thin margins and will not bear the cost of import traiffs on mexico and other countries. So prices are going up, and jobs will be going down.

If you don't make it in America you shouldn't be allowed to sell it in America.

The simple fact is technology now allows 1 man to do the job that it used to take 20 to do. Try to find an industry that hasn't happened to. The farming industry used to rely on manpower but is now almost exclusively machinery. Assembly lines are mostly robots. The jobs that are left in manufacturing tend to require some specialist training rather than standing still putting in rivets.

Don't even get started on the coal jobs coming back.
