The absolute state of EVs.

Could you explain in a few more details?

Norway has big taxes on cars, except for EVs. In a way this lack of a tax is acting as an incentive, so lots of Norwegians are buying electric vehicles. About 40% of new cars sales are electric! It's amazing.

Nice. They take the freedom of their people to virtue signal while supporting the continued use of fossil fuels by everyone else, including the biggest polluters on earth like ships burning bunker fuel and airlines burning leaded jet fuel.

I guess as long as we all drive a nissan leaf it doesn't matter if captain goldberg throws another shovelfull or twenty of black sludge into is 40 liter V16 diesel ship engine

Don't get high from your own supply

Norway officially based

tundra niggers being hypocritical as always, nothing new here

>captain goldberg

>Look at me, goy. I'm the captain now.
>Oy vey, how do I steer this thing?

Its not being subsidised by selling oil to other nation - its simply a huge reduction in the tax

If you had said it was a bit of a hypocricy to sell oil while also giving incentives to buy EVs then you would have a point. You make it out like the norwegian government is giving people actual rebates to buy EVs, which is not true. It makes it more attractive and cheaper to buy EV, but there is no actual money being given to the buyer or any form of direct subsiding

You could say that its subsidised by way of paying much less road tax/registration that other vehicles pay, which pays for things like our DMV, road maintenance and signage, which is true - but the tax will surely increase as the years go by and the phasing out of ICEs in favor of EVs gets further

They don't have a car industry so they've basically set up their tax system to where they are mass-importing american cars and choking out those pesky BMWs. I think Tesla is faggy and overpriced and even among american electric cars you can easily do better but hey, they are buying american so Trump would be proud.

did you read what I said?
>Norway has big taxes on cars, except for EVs. In a way this lack of a tax is acting as an incentive

Ah, I figured you were OP and that was adding to

pic related is OP, Noway is playing 744d beer pong, because by having less vehicles running on oil means that they can export more of it

...

When you forget to upload the image and post it later replying to yourself it makes it look like someone else is calling you a brainlet
>the ironing!

Its irony SQUARED

This is one of the better posts Veeky Forums's had in a while

they also have more teslas than the amerimutts
youtube.com/watch?v=zSjYra7cYqY

here's the catch: with the oil money, they can subside a lot of *free* stuff. And they don't know what to do when the oil money is gone

>massive tax on gas cars
>"gee why are there so many EVs?"
The incentives are going to cut out eventually, after something like 50k EVs.

β€œTo be honest, the reason for buying this was a little bit about the environment, but mostly the savings,” he says. β€œI think most of the owners are thinking about their economy.” According to NEVA, about 72 per cent of buyers are choosing an electric car for economic reasons and just 26 per cent for environmental ones.
So after these incentives end, I imagine gas cars will be competitive in the Norwegian market again.

God fucking damn I hate those "please do not copy" messages.

Norway yes!
