Is this a good deal?

>$8000 for a fucking New Edge GT

No that isn't a good deal at all.

Not one bit.

That's max a $4000 car. How many miles? Any mods done to it? Surely there's. Reason he wants 8k. That's like 250k miles terminator cobra price

$8k will get you a Pontiac GTO

Or a mint ls1 fbody with around 80 more horse then the stang.

That thing is hideous

Absolutely not. Even if that thing has 50k on the odometer that's a terrible deal.

New Edge have only hold their value close to that if you live in the South. Shoot an offer for 5500 or 6 and see if they reply.

GTs here in Dallas/DFW are averaging around 4-5K. If you see one above 5K, it better have low miles, be in excellent condition, new paint job/motor/transmission, etc.. You can get a 05-09 or even some 2010 models for 8K if you want a Mustang, or a 6 pack of v6s from 99-04.

>and the car has 100,000 miles

Are you crazy? You can get a Cobra or Mach 1 from that era with way less miles for 8k.

Who the fuck pays 8k for a mustang made in 2004 kek

If your budget is around $8,000 and you want a New Edge stang i suggest a Mach 1. I had two, one procharged and one stock. Loved em

Not OP, what was wrong with this model of mustang?

2v engine was weak and hard to make power out of

Could get a faster and nicer 8th gen V6 Accord for that much.

Uh.. gtos with around 50k-70k still command 10k+.

Are Mach 1s plentuful? Or relatively rare? They definitely look nice in azure blue.

Pretty rare. You would find a 99 to 02 Cobra easier, and they have the same motor essentially. Unless it is a terminator (Cobra from 03 to 04) the max wheel hp any of the V8 4.6l from 99 to 04 can take is 450, and it's a ticking time bomb, with 400, and or about 8psi of boost being the reliable, typical level most guys go before building the motor.

tl:dr for 8000 dollars look for a 99 to 02 Cobra or a Mach 1, if you can find a 03 to 04 Cobra "Terminator" for less than 10k you're the luckiest fucker ever.

**Also, a 2v and 4v can both handle 450 wheel (Unless it is a Termi 4v, as that was forged from the factory, and can handle 700), so another route is to find a cheap GT, and throw a blower or turbo kit on it, potentially used. If you find a 4000 dollar car, and dump the remaining 4k into parts + tune you will have a pretty quick New Edge, not Coyote status but respectable.

No, that's too much. You could get an 05-09 with about 100k miles for that price

Unless it's like

There are several clean GTOs around 80k miles for under $9k for sale locally.
