Here is a review of ascension wow

Ascension wow begins as a decent fun server that tries new things that few servers have
tried. The classless nature and gear drops on death are a really great addition to the
game on paper but in practice they do not provide a constructive game play experience.

When I started playing on the server I enjoyed the moderate leveling rate and the freedom
to pick any skill I wanted as I leveled. I got to level 20 without much issue and decided
to head over to Redridge to continue leveling.

Within 20 minutes of me arriving at Redridge I was killed by two players and lost a few
items. I decided to come back and try again. I managed to start doing quests again and
within a few minutes I was killed again, this time by a level 54. I came back and tried
to start my quests again....again I was killed by another stealth player. I lost half of
my items within 2 hours of arriving at a Redridge.

Here are my issues with the game: players are not punished for player killing, instead
they are rewarded with gear. Due to the excessive world PVP it is very hard to do
anything in the game unless you are escorted around by two or three people, You progress
very slowly and the 3x feels more like 0.3x since you are constantly pvping with everyone.

The server gives you zero reason to allow another player to live, you are a walking
dungeon boss that dies instantly and drops 3 items each time. If you don't kill other
players, the other players will kill you.

I would not recommend playing on this server unless you are old school, dedicated,
competitive, hardcore, [insert buzzword here].

The issue remains that other players see you as a walking chest and will kill you or think that you will kill them. There should be some reason to not kill other players

the gamebreaking skill bug was fixed real quick and I think rogues start with ss now too. next issue they should work on is maybe extending leash range a bit because when mobs run away from you they hit the range and then leash back

my goal is to see how skull rock is with those lock mobs and their voidwalkers. if thats good then the server is solid.

It's alright, but too easy if you ask me. I got my Undying and Immortal achieves not too far into the expansion and I quit playing in raiding guilds after BC ended.

Yeah the leashing is fucked. You can pull a group of any number of mobs and slow back up hitting one of them to keep them aggroed and the rest of the group will just run back.

Tiered gear is more of a supplement than something that could carry you through, say, ToC10

Server does seem pretty good. Aggro ranges and leashes seem pretty screwy right now, but other than that it is nice. Not very far obviously.

Gonna play this for awhile. It does suck there aren't many people playing right now. But my main goal was just to play through BC with RL friends, so meh. Hopefully it gets a little more populated as word spreads about it.

It's a really shit game if you care about your bullets actually registering on the server.

Don't count on it, sadly the most important part of a server for people is the launch. If it launched with poor numbers convincing people is gonna be almost impossible. Especially if they missed the initial wave.

It's pretty populated. You'll have at least 2-3 niggers that are 6 levels above you corpse camping you until you're naked in every single zone.

Best way to level is to just make a build around being naked and sell any gear your get on the AH/vendor them. At 60 you would have way more money than most people.

most of the time you will only lose 1 or 0 piece of gear and lose totems instead when killed

original person you replied to. disregard the noobs. If you play smart you can avoid dying. get stealth early, and aspect of the cheetah for stealth. avoid towns as much as possible and when you do have to go in one be wary of someone following you in stealth always. Pick your spells so you can counter feral druids because they're everywhere because people are unoriginal and copy youtuber builds. And choose wise zones to level in. STV might not be as smart as alterac/hillsbrad/hinterlands etc. in terms of getting ganked (unless you want that sort of stuff). Losing your shit sucks but while leveling you can replace most gear for under a gold
