Is there a consistent way of hitting quarter circles commands on a d-pad with eliza or any other character that has it? I've only played kazumi so never had a problem like this.

I think it might be worth it to do ws2 for the positioning. And it does a ton of damage even if you don't get a real combo.

As a King main that fought others I can attest to that. ff1+2 to giant swing, constantly crouching for fc df2 or fc df1, one multi grab they memorized. Any time I fight one like them I feel horrible.

Positioning

Testing it right now, facesplatting into walls has really weird properties

Best damage at point blank with your back to the wall is WS+2~f+2; d/b+2; d+2; d+4 for 59 damage +11 if they stand. If they don't stand then best guaranteed damage in WS+2~f+2; 2; d/b+1+2 for 68 damage. I prefer d+2 because it forces them into a backturned spike position which is very dangerous to get up from.

A note on this, the first option won't work on bigs, you'll need to replace d/b+2 with 2 on Jack/Gigas and 1 on Kuma. And the second doesn't work on Kuma at all.

I actually whiff punish a decent amount of times but I have those moments where I could get a free launcher but did nothing instead. As far as block punishing goes, I need to work on that because I just default my fastest punish or do nothing. I have been blocking a lot of snake edges recently and just lows in general so I'm happy about that. Not really combo but rather I do the wrong move at certain times that cost me big.

Sounds like you belong in greens to me. Just being able to consciously whiff punish and block punish and block seeable lows are good fundamental things to have. Just get more experience and you'll be fine.

Ive been recording my plays recently too and it feels good to pull off side step punishing that ive been practicing and of course theres still cringe of stuff that ive messed up

Regardless of how awesome that particular suggestion would be, let's be real here. It'll probably be another character from a different franchise that may or may not utilize the meter system
