Almost time for one of the best quests in the history of the Zelda franchise: escorting Yunobo.

yeah, Link can jump high enough to get up on top of their "heads" via their "bodies" and there's a flat part up there where you can stand with pretty good stability (I've fallen off standing up before but never crouching). They don't really do too much with no Link in sight to annihilate, but they do still wander around. There might be a clever way to steer them, I dunno since I'm pretty sure they don't react to sound and only target Link by sight. I was hoping I could use one of the flying ones as a mobile flying sniper nest in the Akkala castle, but no dice.

I'm well aware on how to do it tbf. I've been through it a couple of times without incident. I just have a general dislike of escort missions.

Something weird happened in my game last night

I was at some ruin and there was a flying guardian just roaming about then it randomly fired a beam I look around and next to two pink birds there was fire from the beam

Do guardians go after birds if they see them?

So what did Nabooru do after Ganondorf?
My headcanon is she left Hyrule whilst the wounds inflicted by Ganondorf were still raw. During this time Nabooru made herself monarch and her children her successors. She abolished the law saying male Gerudo would become king automatically. She also changed their way of life from theft to trade. After an indeterminate period of time they returned hoping for peace between their races and swearing actual fealty to the Hylian monarchy unlike the fiction Ganondorf perpetrated. The stories she told her people of her life led to the legend of the seven heroines.

Correct. There'll be a little star on the save file screen though. What that means (beyond meaning you beat the game) will presumably become apparent with the next DLC.
